Atomic Spectra and Atomic Structure (Dover Books on Physics)

The book is an amazing by students of matter structure. Gerhard Herzberg is a great physicyst wich win a nobel by your study in elecctronic structure. It's a very powerfull text for understanding the atomic structure.

Quite an old book, which I didn't realise when I bought it. I was hoping for something more theoretical, whilst this books is very much based on equations and maths. I am a little sceptical about whether the content is still correct due to the age, though it probably is. I would advise anyone to buy a more up to date version, however. I had not really understood what the book was about before I bought it, and so was hoping for something based more heavily on energy levels, forces, etc. I am sure that it would be a very interesting and useful tool for anyone a little more knowledgeable on the subject than me!
