This is a substantial bracket. It comes with a regular nut for permanent mounting as well as a wing nut if you want to move it.I will also try to use this for woodworking and use on my workbench with dog holes. I have to make an adapter. I think I can embed the nut at the end of a 3 / 4 " wood dowel and screw this bracket into it. Not sure how well it will work but it's worth trying. Another thought is to put a 90 degree bracket at the edge of the bench and mount this bracket on that.

I keep forgetting to take pictures of this clamp while in use at the shop, so I’ll just go ahead and say this thing is a workhorse! It’s perfectly made for portable and regular welding tables with 16mm holes. You can tighten it as much as you like without fear of breaking the handle or the clamp, and it’ll keep the material in place just like it’s supposed to. I do use this in conjunction with my vice grips, and together they make a great team. Highly recommended!
