Mortal Engines: Thunder City

I've been excited to read this ever since I heard there was going to be a new book and I have been lucky enough to read this slightly ahead of it's release.The main character, Tamzin has some echoes of Hester about her, but her background is a bit of a mystery which is intriguing.The use of the teacher Hilly Torpenhow as a means to exploring/explaining some of the places and historical events was well done and it was great to see new cities and locations which this book has in abundance.I can't speak too much about other elements I really liked without spoilers, but the book unfolds at a cracking pace and it also sets up potential sequels. I loved the villains and the revenants and where one particular branch of that goes I found particularly satisfying.Overall this fits really well into the Mortal Engines saga.I really do hope there is more of this series to come...
