Your child can develop three main skills with this game: reading, learning the parts of speech, and writing. Having mastered the first, I almost missed this product, but I'm so glad that I didn't. My kids really need to work on their penmanship, and this game is SOOO fun to play with and has definitely inspired writing for my kids ages 8, 10, and 12. Yeah, it's probably geared for younger kids, but that's what I'm working with. And they love this set! They love making silly sentences, and they love that there are blank squares to fill in with their own words.There are two sets of magnets labeled "nouns", but one should probably be labeled "prepositions" instead. It's really propositions AND nouns, with the occasional article or adjective thrown in.Regardless, with these magnets, no matter how silly, if you match a magnet to each color, you will have a proper, gramatically correct sentence. It's like a basic Mad Libs game, only you are constructing the entire sentence. My kids have already constructed dozens of sentences and shown each other their work with delight. They really love it!Storage is something you'll need to work out. If you want, you can put them back in their foam casing and store them in the box they came in, but I'm concerned that with constant use, the magnets will get bent and frayed. My solution was to go to the Dollar Tree and just get a basic tupperware-ish container. We actually have several craft and schooling supplies in these and it has been nice for organizing and storing our school supplies. Maybe in a perfect world, they'd be stored in something with compartments to keep the colors separate, but this is good enough for my purposes, and mixing them will make clean-up faster.This is really a fun kit that will get the kids' creative writing juices flowing. I was surprised at how much they liked it- I thought I was just getting it for their baby brother when he gets a little older. Nope- they all took turns. Earlier today my 8-year-old spent nearly an hour sorting the tiles and stacking them different ways, and counting them. So it's a win!

Our grandson has just started Kindergarten and we wanted to help him develop his reading skills. These magnetic sight words are perfect not only for learning to sound out words but to learn how to structure a proper sentence. He loves that they are magnetic and has claimed the front of our refrigerator as his "writing place". The words easily magnetically attach to the refrigerator and he can mix them up, make sentences, see and sound out the words and then replicate them in writing on paper. There is a great assortment of words to hold his attention.Well made, good value.

This is a super educational toy. I love that nouns, verbs, etc. are color-coded. This excels at not only identifying nouns, verbs, and adjectives but also showing their use in complete sentences. It's also great for spelling, writing, and reading. 10 out of 10.

Superb tool for teaching kids how to build sentences. I use these for my kindergarten kids!
