A heavy paper that will accept pencil, coloured or graphite, chalk, charcoal, inks, pastels and acrylic paints; it can be worked over quite hard and still support your chosen media. I particularly like soft coloured pencil, white and colours blended together, the neutral grey is dark enough to provide a good contrast for both light and dark colours. It has a slight texture but not a real tooth, so it is smooth enough to use pen and ink as well as chalky pastels.If it has a con it is that the pads are glue bound and the pages, being heavy, tend to separate from the pad so you cannot really use it as a sketchbook. I had been looking for a good solid paper, all the same colour and this is it, just what I was after. I have used other Paint'On pads in white and neutral, this is my favourite.

I have been using this with charcoal black and white as the grey is a great midtown value for me to make images have a nice 3D effect quickly - I also use the larger version for my life drawing classes to paint on with oils it saves painting a ground so I can get to painting right away, everyone always wants to know where to get it as I am always the first one painting with is great on a two hour class.

Superp media with a fabulous 18% reflectance giving a great mid point between charcoal black and white charcoal or white chalk. Thoroughly reccomended.

I was looking for a replacement paper as Derwent no longer make the one I used. This seems to fit the bill and a lot cheaper.

Very good quality though a bit expensive, the thickness was good.

THIS IS a really good size and weight of paper for me to try mixed media on. Arrived early and in good order.

As mentioned in my other reviews this company's paper is perfect for the mediums I use which are pastel and coloured pencils.

The surface is easy for ink, pencil and pastel. The grey is a highly effective background. White stands out on it.
