NF Approved Breathalyser

Wouldn’t necessarily recommend these, I don’t feel that they are necessarily accurate, also one couldn’t be used as it was broken

It is what it is, required by law, in France and some other European countries.Nothing fancy, just keep them in your glove box.Never had to use one so far and not been checked for having it either.Like the fact that you get 2 in the box.

Don't forget that travelling in France you need a yellow jacket, a warning triangle, a spare bulb kit, beam deflectors AND a breathalyser kit that is in date. Without this you risk having an on the spot fine. I've not been stopped by Police recently, but friends tell me that Police ask to see these items. The fines are on the spot and in cash and the Police will take you to a cash point - expect upwards of £200. It's not worth the risk. These small breathalysers are Police approved and exactly what you want and need. Don't skimp!

These are fine albeit there's no penalty for not carrying them, so they're really a waste of money. Yes, French law does say you should carry them. Been stopped once at a random check and the gendarme had his own breathalyser.

Hard to say. Hope never to have to use them.

havent tested them as they are in the car for french legislation purposes. I have read its not actually a legal requirement you can be stooped for but for the price of it I'm not going to argue with an armed gendarme on the side of a french road in the middle of the night!

wanted for trip to spain easy to get and a long expiry date

Haven't used these yet but they're in the car as a must have when travelling to France (by law)
