Missing pieces
Only rating a 3 star because the first package I got was missing pieces. Had to send it back and get a new one. Unfortunate

Not as pictured
I can't believe I wasted my time and money on an ant farm. It sounded like a fascinating and educational way to observe nature up close, but in reality, it turned out to be a colossal disappointment.First of all, the setup process was far from the simple and enjoyable experience I anticipated. Pouring the sand into the farm was a messy ordeal, and trying to insert the tunnel pieces without collapsing the entire structure was a frustrating challenge. It felt more like a construction project gone wrong than a fun and educational activity.Once I finally managed to set up the ant farm, the promised entertainment was nowhere to be found. The ants didn't seem interested in the tunnels or their designated areas. Instead of creating intricate tunnels and pathways, they seemed to be randomly digging and wandering around aimlessly. I expected to see a bustling ant metropolis, but all I got was a chaotic mess. And let's not forget the maintenance nightmare. Keeping the ants alive and well was a constant battle. I had to carefully monitor their food and water, and despite my efforts, they seemed to die off at an alarming rate. The farm went from having a promising number of ants to a sad and sparse population within weeks. The clear plastic sides that were supposed to offer an unobstructed view of the ants quickly became scratched and cloudy, making it difficult to see anything clearly. It was like watching ants through a foggy window, which completely defeated the purpose of having an ant farm in the first place. In the end, the ant farm was a colossal waste of time, money, and effort. It failed to deliver on its promises of educational and entertainment value, and instead left me with frustration and disappointment. If you're looking for a way to learn about ants or observe nature, I'd recommend exploring other options that don't involve dealing with the mess and disappointment of an ant farm.

This is a great formicarium, but…….
First of all, it was packaged well. This is clearly a small outfit that makes these. Also good with me. The parts were all there and fit together nicely. Except the lid is too tight, I’ll have to fix that. Then, the water tube was broken. Actually had one that fit. Had to happen before shipping because it was well wrapped. One final thing, during assembly one of the screws cracked out. Annoying, not the products fault but I’ve done some just like this before so once again. Stuff that should happen or be a problem.Overall I think this is a pretty good design. I didn’t experience a problem with missing pieces but just a couple things could be better.
