Dragonfli Chafer Grub Killer Nematodes 100 Square Metre Pack

Simple to use, it seems “so far” to be effective. I’m sure by this time last year my garden had more holes than a golf course. As things are there is evidence that the fox is still about, but no holes or signs of digging in the lawn. Fingers crossed this has worked! If not, I will update so if nothing further, assume that it is great!

The media could not be loaded. I bought this from here and got delivered with an pack that keeps it cold during travel. Delivery was quick by Royal mail 48hr. I popped it in the fridge immediately. I checked the packets and the quantity of packets looked less and so I chased up with the seller and was able to solve my query very patiently about quantity by letting me know that each pack contained 50million and was good for 100sqm. So that was resolved.Next I was bit suspicious on the aliveness of the nematodes because they appeared to be not wriggling. So I was again assured by the seller that can't be seen with naked eyes.So just to double confirm n day 3 after delivery I used my LO's microscope and was able to see them wriggling to my joy. :)I also did another experiment and added few grubs, earthworms, soil with some grass roots in a plastic bottle about 100ml line. Then I added water mixed with quarter a teaspoon of nematodes and the grubs did die in about 15 mins. However the earthworms also died which was sad. Hence one less star.I then yesterday added about 30% of nematodes to a garden area which approx 8x4sqm using a hose end sprayer with a lot of water as it was a sunny day. This is the area that was mostly damaged and I could see grubs over patio slabs migrating to other part of garden. I can't see them today crawling, but will update if I see any later.Communication with seller was excellent. I will further update my pictures after few days to see if it has stopped worsening.Update 2022This worked super nicely. My garden looked nice last summer/autumn with no signs of grubs damage till date. Updated images(I did not reseed last summer, just used some chicken manure after last mow). Does not look great but its not damaged either. So definitely a great product!

Quite expensive but it does sort outtge chaffer bugs!

applied more than month ago but no effect on population or size of Chafer Grubs , I followed the instruction step by step but no change noticed, unfortunately this is not a returnable item so money was wasted in my case

Two years ago I had a huge problem with the blackbirds ripping up my lawn to get these grubs.Last year I used these nematodes and did not have a problem at all. My lawn wasn’t touched.This year I didn’t use anything and the lawn is getting ripped up again. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m going to have to apply this every year now. It works but I wish I didn’t have to use it in the first place

The service, offer and arrival date was all as described. The instructions were clear and concise. However, in the applied area of my garden, there were still significant numbers of live chafer bugs five weeks after application. I followed the instructions to the letter. Marked off 10M2 areas to apply. I am very disappointed with this product and would struggle to recommend it.

Whilst replacing my lawn I noticed the infestation, so delayed delivery of my new turf. Used the 100 sq metre sachet to do my 60 sq foot area. After 6 weeks there are still lots of grubs, I laid something heavy on the area and left it for a few weeks.Contacted the seller who said "Thank you for your order with Dragonfli and your feedback on our products. We have a policy in place to guarantee the product you receive arrives alive and is always dispatched from our freshest possible stock to ensure what you receive has the best chance of tackling the problem.In some cases multiple applications are required to fully tackle sever infestations.So this suggest it may take more than 1, 2 or 3 doses?As I have removed the lawn I shall wait until the spring to lay new lawn, hopefully without grass to eat they willall be gone by then.
