Not recommended for Smart TV
2 AAA batteries for the remote control are not included, but this DVD player comes with a 57" HDMI cable and coaxial cables. It measures 10 1/4" x 7 5/8" x 1 1/2" and weighs 2 lbs. The player worked on my standard TV but went haywire on an Insignia smart TV. With the smart TV, pressing any button on the DVD remote could switch the TV input from the HDMI to something else, showing me other content. I tried a second HDMI port and got the same results. However, the player worked as it's meant to on the standard TV.Easily recognizable buttons on the player are basic: Power, Play/Pause, Eject. All other functions are on the remote control, where the buttons are many, small and hard to differentiate. I appreciate the zoom feature that helps fill the screen. Also, I like that I can control the volume via the DVD remote.
