Thin but strong
Not as thick as other generic filters, but on the positive side it takes up less space on the counter and I’ve never had any issues with it tearing. So I don’t think the thinness is a problem but perhaps a good solution.

Great option for 6-cup Chemex Pour-over Coffee
These filters work well. The flow rate is slightly better than with the chemex brand name ones. Appears the paper is slightly thinner here, which helps prevent overbrewing the coffee. I like to fold and staple the extra paper - this helps reinforce the part of the cone wall that’s against the breather spout. I do the same thing with the brand name filters, which tend to collapse into the air channel and make a mess. These are a great value at time of review and I’m satisfied with the quality of filtration with these filters. I drink black coffee without additives using these for brewing.

No, it's not as good as the Chemex brand but good for the price...
The paper is thinner which has some repercussions. First, the coffee will flow through faster than it would the thicker Chemex paper. Whether you can tell the difference between your coffee between the two is up to the drinker. Second, since it's thinner, the paper tends to collapse into the little spout more making a near perfect seal which doesn't air to easily pass from the lower chamber. However, air does push its way out but also causes the coffee to bubble over the lip and make a small mess. You can overcome this by putting a straw or chopstick to keep it from closing that spout. These aren't complaints but observations and if you wanted to save some money over the Chemex paper, I'd recommend it.

Good
These are thinner than brand filter but not much, but for my daily use, it’s enough and working with no issues at all. Can’t beat the price.

Decent Alternative, But Not Quite Chemex
Let's address the elephant in the coffee shop - these filters are fine if you're looking at them in isolation. They're pre-folded (convenient!), unbleached (eco-friendly!), and they do what filters are supposed to do: keep grounds out of your coffee. However, if you're a Chemex user who's used to their branded filters, you might notice some differences:### The Good:- Pre-folded design saves time- Natural, unbleached material- More affordable than Chemex brand### The Less Good:- Noticeably thinner than Chemex filters- Faster brew time (which might not be what you want)Think of these as the "store brand" version of your favorite cereal - it'll do the job, but there's just something slightly different about the experience. The thinner paper means your coffee will brew more quickly, which could affect the extraction process if you're used to the Chemex timing.
If you're a coffee purist who has perfected your pour-over timing with Chemex filters, these might throw off your game. However, if you're looking for a decent, budget-friendly alternative and don't mind adjusting your technique, these are perfectly serviceable.
Bottom line: They're not bad filters by any means - they're just not Chemex filters. Whether that matters depends on how particular you are about your coffee brewing process. For casual coffee drinkers, they're fine. For pour-over perfectionists, stick with what you know.

Holds up and doesn't change taste of the coffee
These filters work great. They are easy to use and hold up to large amounts of wet coffee. They also hold up to me moving them in and out of the coffee carafe. They do not change the taste of the coffee which is very important to me. I was using a reusable cloth filter and just got tired of the whole lengthy process. These were such a time saver.

Thinner is a problem
I use a 10 cup Chemex carafe. The thinner filters are a problem in three ways: 1) they are more prone to collapse when the weight of the water accumulates, 2) they are more prone to sealing into the pour trough which causes bubbling, and 3) being thinner the water passes through them more rapidly, which affects the brew time. Basically I have to add more coffee to compensate which more than erases the cost advantage of the filters.

Too thin
I have been using Chemex filters for eons and bought these by mistake. These are way too thin, and don’t try to lift them with any water still in them as they will fold over and spill everywhere. They also seal the top of your Chemex when water is poured in them causing fluid to bubble up and spill onto the stove. I have been doubling them to prevent all this and you will too.
