DESCRIPTION:This is a 4-quart capacity Air Fryer.————————HOW WE USED IT:So far we have cooked hash brown patties, French Fries, chicken wings, onion rings (all from frozen). We have reheated rotissary chicken parts and prepared hot dogs and rolls. This was our first experience with an air fryer. We found this cooks by blowing hot air over the surface of the food, so the food cooks from the outside in (opposite of a microwave oven). So food should be single-layered unless it is irregular shapes like French fries.We found we could combine some things. We cook chicken wings for 30 minutes, pause with 8 minutes remaining, add a few onion rings across the top of the wings, then continue cooking them together. The onion rings and the wings both come out perfect, toasty and crisp on the outside, moist inside.When shopping, we look for items with cooking directions specifically provided for air fryers. As in any air fryer, using parchment paper baskets to hold your food will catch amy drippings and make cleanup easier.————————PLUS POINTS:Controls are intuitive and easy to use. You can select the type of food and it will automatically suggest a time and temperature (which you can change if desired).All indicators and buttons are integrated inside the top, so it is simple to keep clean.Window and light make it easy to observe food while cooking.Easy to make small portion meals suitable for 2 persons.Machine prompts when it is time to turn or shake the food, halfway through the cook period.Temp can be turned down quite low (about 200) for reheating.Generous cord length (3.5 feet)The bottom removable grill has "UP" imprinted so you can tell which way is up.The cabinet gets warm during use, but not hot.Light bulb is easily accessible for replacement without disassembly (remove basket).————————MINUS POINTS:The hot air/steam exhaust port on the back points straight up, so be aware of that, it should probably not be operated underneath an overhanging cabinet.The fan may tend to dry out some foods if left on too long.————————OVERALL:We are enjoying using this air fryer as an alternative to other methods. It is a good size to prepare meals for two persons. If your family is larger, you may want a larger version.

This was my first experience with an air fryer. I've never felt the need for one previously since my built-in oven has a convection setting, and I don't have a lot of available cabinet space for an additional small appliance. But my friends and family had been raving about theirs for years, so I finally broke down and ordered one. And I was not disappointed!This air fryer has digital controls that show up on the top of the appliance when it is plugged in. I love all the options laid out across the screen. It wasn't difficult to figure out how to use the machine. The first time through, I used the Preheat, Steak, and Shake functions. I was able to set my preheat temperature up to 450 degrees, and it only took a few minutes to warm up to the correct temperature. Then I selected my cook setting, adjusted the time and temperature, and selected Shake so that the air fryer would notify me halfway through the cooking time to check on my food. The timer was loud enough for me to hear in case I walked away (which I did not). I paused the machine, opened the door, shook/flipped the contents, and started things back up again. If I opened the door without pausing the machine, the screen signaled "OPEN", and the fan and heat stopped until everything was back in place.I love that I was able to cook an entree and a side in the air fryer simultaneously. I used a rack that I use with my InstaPot to elevate a small pork tenderloin while potatoes cooked on the bottom. When the roast was done, I removed the extra racks and cooked the potatoes a few more minutes to make sure that the pork drippings had been cooked through. Absolutely delicious.The non-stick coating worked extremely well. I used a small amount of oil on the inside surfaces as well as on my food. Nothing stuck to the rack, sides, or bottom of the machine. Clean up was super easy, and although it was not necessary, I threw the drawer into my dishwasher to see how it held up. It came out nice and clean, as expected.This appliance is easy to use, easy to clean, and uses less electricity that my convection oven. It warms up much faster, so I can get dinner on the table quicker. I love that the kids can use this to easily warm up taquitos or leftover pizza with excellent results as well.They were right - air fryers are fantastic. So happy that I ordered this one.
