Shakespeare Micro Spinning Rod

We’ve been catching bass all summer with Micro series 4.6” , 6.6” and 7’. With no issues at all.In fact I decided to buy 2 more 7’ because we like them so much rigged with spinning reels.Great casting and fish fighting. If you are new to Graphite rods remember that the tip is the most fragile. Never grab the rod by the tip or catch it in the car, step on it or whatever. Other than that I can only recommend it for the price you can’t beat it .

I haven’t fished it, yet, but it seems promising. After reading the horror story reviews, I was relieved that it arrived without the tip poking through the box. Upon opening the box, I found the rod securely wrapped in bubble-wrap, with dead air space filled with wadded paper.One reviewer commented on the lack of a lock piece for the reel seat. I figured out where the threads would rest when tightened, and put a couple of turns of Teflon tape around the area. I’m betting it never moves.My impression of components used is favorable...I’m impressed by the price, so I ordered a 7’ light action model. (This one is a 2-piece 5’ rod). I’m looking forward to using them, soon.I have received the 7’ two piece Light rod, and the packaging was solid.

Nice rod and cork handle but the rod is very thin and weak towards the tip. Need something firm don’t buy this one.

This is a horrible product. The fishing pole broke the first time I used it. It just snapped with no pressure. Don’t buy it. If I could give it no stars, I would.

I don't know why this rod only has 4 stars. I fish this thing like crazy and have two of them. No issues whatsoever. Would I use it for catfish? Absolutely not. Do I use it for pan fish, crappie, etc? All day long, and I have fun doing it all day long with this super light rod. This is a petite rod that's well made. It's up to you to buy the right rod for the right job.

Absolutely a great rod at a bargain price! A joy to use for my ultralight fishing.I was researching to buy an ultralight rod and from the advice of utuber i.fish, I purchased this rod in the 7 foot light action and couldn't be happier with my purchase.Great action and super easy to flick out 1/32 to 1/16 ounce jig heads with soft plastic bodies 50 to 60 ft. I've used this rod with several spinning reels trying 2 lb SOS mono, 4 lb fluorocarbon, and 6 lb braid with a 12' to 15' fluorocarbon leader. All are easy to cast, retrieve, and catch fish!A super value and though I have more than enough rods, I will likely purchase other versions of this great little rod!The only minor complaint I would have is the knurled plastic nut the secures the reel needs to be tightened periodically when fishing. There is no secondary locking nut, just the one plastic nut. The rod is so good in all other respects, I won't even reduce a star for this minor shortcoming of the rod.

I paired 4 of these rods to Daiwa Revros 2500 spinning reels. The rods have been holding up excellently. The are my guest rods on my boat. The rods are ultra light and they feel like there is a 20 pound monster on the other end. My guests love the fight. Very happy with my purchase. 10/10
