Great feel and balance
I am pleasantly surprised on how nice this rod is. Its spine and stiffness feel great -- I would call it med action and I really like it. I highly recommend this rod.

Very colorful and comfortable, but feels kind of flimsy
This is definitely a decent pole, don't get me wrong with my title! I haven't had the chance to use it too much, but when I have used it (Stupid fish) it's been fine. I like my rods to be forgiving and not so stiff. This one feels fairly stiff, and it worries me if I hook up with a stronger fish. The color and design is really what sets this pole apart from others though. Most poles have a fairly basic design or basic colors, but not this one and that's really what drew me to it. Also, it's a 2-piece which I usually try to stay away from because they never seem to stick together very well. Thankfully I haven't casted the top part of my rod into the river yet, but watch, now that I've said that it'll end up in the river and I'll have to reel it in with my lure and hope it doesn't snap. I'd recommend this if you want something colorful and want to take a chance on it. Like I said, it hasn't had issues yet, but you kind of know when you have a decent pole or not as soon as you feel it and bend it a little. This one worries me personally. Maybe it'll be different for you or you prefer your pole like this. If that's the case, then more power to you and I definitely recommend it for you! Just know in case you didn't know this already; it doesn't come with a reel. So make sure you have a spare ready or a reel in mind you plan on putting on this!

Good quality, reasonably priced, easy and comfortable to use
This “Sougayilang Fishing Rod, 2-Piece Graphite Composite Blank/Fiber Glass Spinning & Casting Rod with EVA Grip, Smooth Transition Fishing Pole (7'0", Graphite Blank - Spinning Rod)” is a pretty good rod. This product list currently has a few different models/rods, this review is for the “graphite” version; I noticed that some negative review is showing the fiber glass version and it looks completely different than the one I am reviewing, hence, I want to make this clear. This rod seems to be of good quality and is well made. Flexible, lightweight, yet strong and sturdy. It is easy to use and assemble smoothly. The guide rings are nice too. I am not a fishing expert, so I can’t articulate or determine whether this is an expert level rod or not, but I can attest that for a beginner like me, this is sufficient and it can do anything I need. Best of all, it is of a good, reasonable price.Thank you for reading this review, I hope that this review is helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.

A lot of rod for the price point
This two-piece psychedelic rod has a medium power and a fast-moderate action. It is constructed of fiberglass and graphite. The line guides are constructed of stainless steel with ceramic inserts. The rod does a great job for what I was looking for to go with a baitcasting reel I use for lighter baits and lures. The rod has a lot of strength from the middle back to the handle, and the front half gives a lot of bend. This is a good rod for the price point, and I am satisfied with it so far.

Great beginner rod
As background, I own about 20 Sougayilang rod and reel combos. I got my first ones when I was just starting out fishing as they were low-priced and I've just never had any problems with them, so I've stayed with the brand. This particular rod is great for a beginner. Although I got the baitcaster and it works as expected, I would recommend a spinning rod and reel for a beginner or a kid. Here, the pattern on the rod is achieved through a graphic wrap--so there is a small seam running the length of the rod. It hasn't caused any problems in my test casts and I believe the wrap has actually made the rod sturdier, with the trade-off being a little less response.
