I saw this on sale and had to pick one up. First it is much smaller than I expected, which is perfect. It is decently bright for its size when using the white light, which is a very comfortable warm white. A press/hold lets you ramp the brightness up and down. You also have quick access to red, flashing red and then whatever the last 4 fun colored patterns you've used just by pressing down. This isn't going to light up your room, but as a nice accent light or night light it is just perfect. You also have access to several other patterns, the ability to have it react to music (must have the phone app open and connected), a timer and a whack-a-mole game. You can connect several of these in the app. Just a ton of functionality for such a low price. The battery life is pretty good as well. At the lowest brightness it is saying I should get about 40 hours, at the brightest about 4. My only wish is that it had a light pattern that replicated a flickering candle flame.

I tried troubleshooting—recharging it and resetting the app settings—but nothing worked. The other lamp, however, has been functioning flawlessly for weeks, so I’m inclined to believe it was an isolated defect. Final Thoughts This night light is innovative, versatile, and visually appealing. It offers fantastic value for its features and is a great addition to any room, especially for kids or festive settings. However, the quality control issue with one of the lamps was disappointing, which is why I’m giving this product 4 stars instead of 5. I have been collecting flashlights and general gadgets for nearly my entire life (45 years). This is the most amazing single small device I have ever experienced or owned. While not required for basic use, the App is incredible and provides tons of functionality, options, and modes. While it has the typical high quality Olight packaging, it did not impress me upon initial opening due to its simplicity and underwhelming presence. It just looks like a clear plastic racket ball. I connected the included magnetic charger and forgot about it for a while. Some time passed and I happened to see the green light indicating full charge as I walked by. Turned it on, and it was an okay simple white light. Then, I easily connected it to the App, and that’s when the party started. I truly believe this thing has some form of magic within it. The Stepless brightening and dimming feature alone is impressive, and then you get into the color wheel. I am not an artist or a scientist, but this little ball can literally change into every color on the entire spectrum. It is not a question of red, white or blue. It is which red? Which white? Which blue? Last but not least, you have the various “ambience” and animation / motion choices. You can simulate the aurora borealis if you want, or a nice sunset. I just had it screaming red at 90% brightness level for half an hour on my deck, and it wasn’t even warm to the touch when I picked it up to bring inside! After playing with it for an hour, I immediately ordered a second one. While the price is excellent, I wish I could afford to have 20 of these things. I can’t say enough about this product. Do yourself a favor and buy at least two!

I originally bought the OLIGHT Sphere for camping, but it has quickly become a permanent fixture on my nightstand. i have two of these and several other models of this olight. they are magnetic, they are orbs, they are lights...they are waterproof. these lights kick so much ass. one tap turns it on, hold to switch between high + low brightness and double tap to shut it off. perfect sized bag light. these die a bit quick, but the pro's can last literally days without being switched off, while on the white light on the dimmer setting. amazing. this model has awesome light variations and is surprisingly bright on the higher setting. rockstar.

I own 4 of these olights and use them almost everday. I'm not new to the olight brand and I have been very happy with every purchase of these. Love the magnetic charging base. Love that the base of the light sticks to any magnetic surface. I often have one stuck to the fidge door for ambience. I use these camping all the time. Sticks to my Coleman stove lid while I'm cooking. Stick them on the outside of the van when sitting under the awning. Stick them in the van when you want ambience. The red light will last all night for a night light. I don't use the app because there are more than enough color choices without it. I got these for less than $12 during a sale. You can't beat it. I have given numerous away as gifts. I will continue to recommend them as a fun multicolor party light!
