Stainless Steel Honey Strainer Double Sieve, Beekeeping Equipment Mesh Filter for Beekeepers Honey Extraction

I pulled my first frames of honey off my hives and ended up using the "crush and strain" method for extraction. Dumped the whole mess in here, let it sit overnight over a large tupperware container, and I had 5 lbs of clean honey by the end of it. The mess in the top strainer went into the crockpot to melt the wax out, and the honey went into the jars. I put both parts out for the bees to clean up - which they did - and then washed them. Will definitely be using this every time I pull honey, regardless of the method use to get the honey out of the frames.

This is what seems like a clone of every other honey strainer I own (about 6 now). Works great, well constructed. I actually use this one to strain my wax after melting it the first round before then doing a cheese cloth to get it even cleaner.Works well durable and a good value. Great for any beekeeper or anyone that needs to strain something.

I love having the bowl shape on the bottom! It can hold so much more than having two of the same size.

This is my second honey strainer, and this BeeTech one is nearly identical to the first one from a different manufacturer. I have several other BeeTech items and they are also very well made, they mght be my go to source on Amazon for beekeeping stuff. I got a second bucket and this strainer so I can alternate buckets while extracting so I don’t have to wait for the strainer to empty. It fits on my five gallon bucket perfectly, and is well made and easy to clean (remember to use cold water first so the wax doesn’t melt onto the strainer screen!). No doubt it would work well for other purposes, as the stand should let it sit well in many different sized containers. This strainer is very well made, I expect it to last longer than I do.

These work like they should. One has a finer mesh than the other like they should be. They don't feel overly cheap. So far I haven't had any issues, the screen isn't falling out yet or fraying etc. I've used these for many things other than straining honey, they are quite useful actually.

This strainer pair is strong - it's not a thin wire mesh strainer that would break if you set a full honey frame on top of it - this is actual thick metal wire mesh. The top sieve is of course less fine than the bottom, so you can catch larger particles up top and not have to worry about your fine sieve getting too clogged.This has not yet rusted in any way despite may trips through the washing macine, and it is overall an incredibly solid purchase. I'd definitely go with this again if I ever need more of these.

This is all you need to make perfectly clean honey right out of the extractor. The rack fits on any bucket and removes any impurities from the honey as it flows through this strainer.
