Good taste
I do not like Tajin and thought that this citrus based shaker would be a better option. We tasted it on it's own first and it definitely has a sour citrus flavor followed by the salt. I did not find it overly salty. As a pack of 10, it will take us a very long time to get through it all so I have started bringing some to work to let others try it as well. It is usually met with skepticism and people have either loved it or hated it.

Tangy!
I will say, this stuff is really good. Its a tangy kick in the mouth! Its hard to really describe the flavors, but it reminds me of Tajin if you have ever had that (as in, the different flavor, not the actual flavor). Its not super salty, which is great to see. Makes you feel less bad about putting that #$@% on everything! My only real negatives are that it only has the nutrition info on the box, which is lame. Also, the cover was hard to remove IMHO. It says just twist off, but I used my nail to puncture the plastic around the cap, then screwed off the top. Each one is sealed, so you take off the seal and then its a shaker.I can't wait to try this on some other random things, it packs a heck of a punch!

Too salty, not enough tamarind, clumps up
This flavor really misses the mark as far as tamarind goes - it just tastes vaguely fruity with way too much salt in place of the twang (pun intended) and slight spice of tamarind. That alone wouldn't have been a dealbreaker for me, this salt is still very much usable for things like rimming glasses... at least it would have been if it didn't clump up after a day. It's been a very humid summer where I'm located and leaving one of these out on the dinner table overnight after trying it out, fully closed with a click, had me coming back in the morning to a non-functioning shaker: all the salt clumped up into a single lump that I couldn't even break apart by vigorously shaking the container. I had to open up the shaker and break the lump apart with a toothpick to get it back to a shakeable form but the fruit and salt of my labor was short-lived, as the same thing happened next morning. I cannot recommend this product if you live in a humid climate.

Eat alone?
I have no idea why anyone would eat this alone as a snack as it is basically just like easting salt grains; however, as a topper it is delicious. Nice on fruit or chips for a little salty flavor. Convenient little shakers that taste pretty good.

Delicious sweet and tart
Great tasting salt. These came in a form of small salt shaker. This one if savory, tangy and a bit sweet and has tamarind flavor. Taste so delicious with tangy fruit.

Not a fan
My husband and kid who loves almost anything salty and sour, is not a fan of this.

Okay, but the Chamoy is better (IMO). (This one is salty and tart; Chamoy is salty and sweet).
I received this in the Tamarind and Chamoy flavors varieties. Both are unique, in that they are salt/sugar/spice mixes. Few people would eat these as snacks in and of themselves, despite the listing claims, but many people would find reason to put these on other foods, especially fruits. The Chamoy is more sweet with salt, and this one is more tart with salt. Which you would use depends on your preference. I do find this type of sugary salt to be good to season watermelon, and also for dehydrating foods.10 bottles is a bit annoying to store, and a waste of plastic, unless you are going to introduce family and friends to the flavor experience with these as gifts (which I plan to do with a few of these).

Great on Fruit and Candy
More sour than spicy. More spicy than salty. Somehow, despite being a snack salt, it doesn't taste overly salty in moderate quantities. It's fantastic on mango and pineapple but also pairs well with candies like gummy bears. Dip a wedge of lime in it to go along with an ice cold beer or shot of tequila. It's pretty versatile stuff. I really like it and so do my kids.
