We got a few sets of these to distract the kiddos on an airplane, and they kept the kids amused longer than I expected. I didn't expect the older ones to play with them as long, but then again I like magnets too, so that makes sense.The color pairs match together with the magnets oriented opposite to attract so feet go to feet, and hands go to hands. There are some mismatches between colors so hands attract feet, but that's not a problem. (Actually desirable in some cases I guess.)I can't say how long these will last, but I will say I wouldn't let a little kid play with these if they put toys in their mouth. The magnets are very strong, and can cause major health issues if swallowed.

Right now, they're hanging them from a metal rack in the garage. They're each holding into a leg or arm seeing how many a single figure can hold. It's funny to watch the kids try to see who can get the longest chain going before a fall.
