Good bird lamp light!
Seems to work great. I had been searching for a different brand online and have not been able to find it available. This one seems to be working great. Glad to have a fresh bulb in my bird's lamp. They need it and seem to love it when it is on. I would buy this again.

Awesome light
The media could not be loaded. This u v b light is producing the same u.V rays as an arcadia, brand and half the price remember to hang 6to8 inches away from your bird's head . If you go any further, it will not benefit the wavelengths that it needs. And remember to replace every six months, even though it works. It loses strength.

Good Bird Light
The light was somewhat brighter than the one I took out that was 11 months old and was used 12 hours per day.

It works and the price is right.
When you have an indoor pet bird, it absolutely needs a "sun lamp" to make vitamin D for the health of the bird and to allow its feathers to reach their full beauty. Bird supplements help but the light is still necessary. This one has been making a buzzing noise since we got it a week or so ago. My wifie thinks that it will quiet down after the break-in period, during which it should be about 50% farther away from the bird. Break-in takes about a week or two, as I recall. This one is affordable so I hope it goes silent soon. It's a good and popular brand/supplier, so I trust that it will do the job. I've seen other brands at up to $60, so this one will do. By the way, these are only good for around 6 months of average use so remember to replace them twice a year. If the price remains good, I'll get another one of these next time. We had to buy this one early because the lamp fell, and the light broke when it hit the floor. Do your bird a big favor and keep it under a UV lamp if you love it and want it to stay healthy.

UVA/UVB is essential for indoor birds
If your birds do not get direct sunlight on them for at least 20” several times a week, they really do need full spectrum UVA/UVB light on them for several hours +/- a day. Be sure not to point it at them, or place it over their feed, but above the cage. This will deter aggressive behaviors, especially during breeding season.Plus, incandescent and fluorescent lighting has a flicker rate that we humans don’t see, but it’s highly disturbing and agitating for birds.Take a slo-mo video and you will see the blink rate.LED’s are better but they don’t provide UVA or UVB light.Plus, don’t forget that indoor birds should not have more than 8-10 hours of awake time, and should then be covered to go to bed.

Healthy birds!!
Absolutely love these lightbulbs! Started using them a few years ago when I was living in a basement. My two birds seemed depressed all the time. In less than an hour there was a very noticeable difference in their behavior. I have a house now and even though they are near a window, the birds still love having this light!
