Great at removing many layers
I carve and restore village signs that are painted and this stuff is brilliant at getting into those 'hard to strip places' revealing the detail. I've used it on a number of these oak signs and it doesn't damage the wood. It lifts multiple layers of paint in one go. No it doesn't all stick to the cover but the remains come away easily and can be washed off and scrubbed with a tooth brush on the most delicate parts. It's not cheap but I've learnt that you pay for quality. I would recommend it for any 'relief' carved wooden work.

Good product but missing parts
I’ve used this product before and it is very effective however this one arrived without the spatula and less product inside than expected as only half full. Amazon refunded and said to keep the product, so that was good.

Not effective
It only helps to remove partially the paint, not all. Waiting of time and money.

Excellent product
I left it on for 8 hours it bubbles the paint, and makes it peal off easily. Makes a bit of a mess, but it gets the job done.

Not as good as expected
Used to strip old paint from newel posts and stair handrail. Did the test as recommended, applied it with a brush and left it on for the time indicated by the test. A lot of scraping later it had only removed two layers of paint with a lot of residue - cleaned it off and applied a layer of No Nonsense paint stripper from Screwfix, did this until the job was finished. So all in all more of a faff than it should have been given the hype. Strangely the Peelaway7 has the same smell as the Screwfix No Nonsense paint stripper. Removing old paint is never an easy or quick job, from my experience with it Peelaway7 is OK, just not the wonderful product it's supposed to be.

A good product, maybe not peeling away in the manner ...
I purchased this to strip white gloss paint off a cast iron Victorian fireplace.I found that it doesn't really peel away in the manner suggested, but it is certainly much easier to use than Nitromose or similar.I left some of it on for about 12hrs and some on for nearly 48hrs and there wasn't much difference in the amount of paint that came off.A lot of the parts of my fireplace are very intricate and it takes time to scrape the paint away - but it is the same time as I would have spent with any other method. What I did find is that if you squish it around a bit whilst the 'blanket' is still on, it seems to get into all the nooks and crannies which is a little bit of a challenge with the plastic application item supplied.Don't underestimate how much is needed, I under-ordered and will be getting some more. All in all, a good product, maybe not peeling away in the manner suggested, but it is so much better than Nitromorse.**Update - I ordered some more to do a second cast iron fireplace covered in a number of coats of gloss paint. I haven't much different to say from my first review, but what I have found is the company no longer supplies an applicator and after trying to use some of my own utensils, I have found it easier to use a small paint brush to apply this product. Due to the small intricate areas of the fireplace (same as the first one), it has been so much easier to squish the product around and into crevices with the brush.See before and after pics.

Really does the job
Finding a paint stripper that actually works has been a long frustrating job. But after having tried this I was really impressed with it. I left it on over night covered with the plastic sheet , and the following day it came off easily, some areas I had to apply a 2 nd time. But would highly recommend this item
