Nice quality notebook with sturdy binding. A step up in quality from normal drugstore fare. Nice ribbon bookmark as well.

I am on my 5th one of these, the color stays the same and so does the quality, perfect for journaling, a good size to fit easily into a bag, and the little pocket is super helpful.

Repurchased these notebooks twice! And will be repurchasing. The quality of the paper is very good. The pages are very thick and you don’t bleed through. I use these for work and write notes and to-do lists. They last about 3-4 months. Very good for everything. I’ve used the blue and the green and it’s worked great. The cover color does not bleed either. Wonderful!

A handsome/sleek notebook with lined pages. Great size for travel, business, taking notes, going from meeting to meeting, etc. I just started using the notebook so it is hard to comment on the sturdiness of durability but in the few days I have been using the notebook there are no wear spots. The cover is little “loose” as compared to a Moleskin notebook but I aesthetically it is not noticeable and for the price it is hard to beat. Would buy another and would recommend to others.

Years ago I bought a leather notebook cover thinking it was for an A5 (around 8.25 in x 5.75 in) notebook. It was however for thinner 5 inch notebooks. Luckily I had a Moleskine that at 5 inches wide fit perfectly. Recently I began looking for a replacement for the Moleskine because it’s coming to the end of its life and because I noticed deteriorating condition of the paper in the new notebooks. Initial impressions- This Huhuhero journal seems to be a good replacement. The cushioned cardboard cover is sturdy, the paper seems to be sewn in tightly. There is a ribbon bookmark, and elastic band to keep the book closed, and an expandable pocket in the back. As far as the paper. It’s thicker than my Moleskine from years ago and a quick test shows that it seems to resists ink absorption into and through the paper. There is minimal ghosting and no bleed through even with wet fountain pen ink. If I didn’t know better I’d say that the paper was coated like much more expensive notebooks because it seemed to take a little longer to dry. I was surprised that my left (writing) hand actually smeared the ink. This is not usually a problem with cheap paper because the ink absorbs so quickly. In comparison- I have a more recent Moleskine which has paper that allows severe bleed through. Lastly- there are fewer pages in the Huhuhero compared to Moleskine and the guidelines are a little darker. Hopefully this book will stand the test of time especially since it will be protected by a leather cover. Seems to be a good deal considering the price.

I recently started learning how to play the piano, and I needed something that was small enough to fit comfortably on my music desk, but was still large enough to write things in to reference while I was playing or learning new things. I also really needed a notebook with some reasonably thick pages. A big issue I ran into with the notebooks I had laying around the house is they were just too big, or the pages were way too thin, often resulting in my ink bleeding through the pages and creating a gigantic mess, and lots of unusable bits of paper. The Huhuhero sports 120GSM thickness, which is quite thick and the pages have a very nice, sturdy feel to them. The thickness means you can write on the pages without having to worry about your ink bleeding through and ruining the pages behind it, or making the backside of the page completely unusable. The Huehuhero covers all the bases in that regard, and for the price, I don't think it can be beat. When I need more, I intend on buying the 5 pack. All around I am very satisfied with this notebook. I suppose my one and only minor complaint is that it is a little bit difficult to remove pages should you so desire. The pages aren't really meant to be removed from the binding. It is possible to do this, albeit a little bit difficult. It's not very often that I have felt the need to remove pages, so it's not that big of a deal to me and it doesn't make me think this notebook isn't a good one. Despite this minor flaw it still does everything I need it to do, which is all I want out of a notebook.

I really like this journal! The best thing about the journal is the material used for the pages. They are bleed-resistant to my Muji .38 pen, which writes smoothly and NEVER smudges! I think it is because the paper is slightly thicker and something about the material helps the ink to set in quicker. It looks very clean and feels wonderful to write in! While I was a little disappointed with the material of the cover, I do understand that it’s not real leather so that can be expected, and there is no practical downside- the cover still appears great. I’m concerned about how it will last but it’s been a few weeks and so far it’s holding up great. Of course I love the bookmark and band to wrap around the journal as well. Haven’t made use of the back pocket but it looks as sturdy as the rest of the journal! Definitely worth the purchase!
