Nintendo Wii Console (White) with Mario Kart: Includes White Wii Wheel and Wii Remote

This is the original Wii (with GameCube compatibility unlike the new "family edition" Wii) in lovely shiny black with 1 motion-plus controller + nunchuck. You will need another motion-plus controller + nunchuck to fully enjoy the multiplayer modes (in some games you can share a single remote but it's much better even in these cases to have a remote for each player)Wii Sports is ok, especially tennis and baseball, but Sports Resort is SUPERB and really makes use of the motion plus technology. Bowling is vastly improved for example, and Swordplay, Frisbee, Basketball, Table Tennis are really good fun, and easy enough for young kids (5 and above) to play against adults. You can learn how to do small movements so it doesn't get so tiring but it's much more fun to build up a sweat by wildly swinging the remotes around, just make sure the wrist strap is securely attached! The nunchuck games (like Cycling, Archery) weren't my favourites but others loved them. Similarly Air-Sports and Water-Sports, which feel a bit gimmicky, won't impress everyoneThis is the best Wii starter package available, and this is how the Wii should have been launched - it looks great, the controllers are now superb and Wii Sports Resort is a vast improvement over the original Wii Sports.

Items arrived complete and well-packaged, in good time and all in good working condition. Nothing was missing or below expectations.As the Wii's AV cable is incompatible with my current television, the seller was courteous enough to swap the AV cable for a compatible Wii2HDMI cable for no extra charge, and checked that it worked with the console before dispatching. Very good service.

Bought the Nintendo Wii (Black) with Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort in October. My husband had a major operation in July and was in hospital for 2 months. He lost a lot of weight so we thought getting this game machine would help him get back some strength and make him move around so aiding his recovery. He likes the tennis (although this is a bit more strenuous than some of the other games, golf is a little more gentle and Air sports - flying over the island popping balloons is gentler still - you can sit down to this I've found, Dogfight and Skydiving. I like the Bowling training session as you get to knock down lots of pins starting at 10 and going up to 91, brilliant. You have to make up a character for each person who wants to play on the Wii so you get to choose face shape, hair colouring and style etc etc and of course you have to name it this is called a Mii. You use the Mii to play the games on the console. I also like the Baseball (need to get the hang of this though timing is crucial) and Basketball is good fun too. You can have a go at Archery, Boxing, Swordplay, Canoeing, Wakeboarding, Table Tennis, Power Cruising - can't get the hang of jumping through hoops above the waves though, Cycling. You will need a nunchuk with one or two of these games, these are about £15 each. I recommond getting a Nintenda Wii - hours of fun!!!

A Wii and two games for under one hundred pounds?! I came rather late to the table with regards discovering the Wii, but at this price I just had to see what all the fuss is about.First off, when I opened up the box I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of items that fell out, but actually, setting the console up is very straight forward, even the positioning of the sensor bar (which I thought would take ages to get just right) seemed to be perfect right from the start.The whole motion sensor thing is rather a clever idea, and one which, being brought up on Playstation type gamepads, was surprisingly enjoyable and easy to get the hang of.The two sports games will I'm sure offer enough variety to keep the kids busy for some time over Christmas, and I'm sure that with an extra controller, the whole family will have a great time.There is a bit of negativity surrounding the whole family-friendly nature of the games, and whilst I do believe that the games will be most enjoyed by children or families playing together (I couldn't see myself picking it up on my own when the kids are in bed) it's not a negative. The Wii has deliberately targeted that corner of the market, and as long as buyers are aware of this, then you really shouldn't mark it down.It does everything it claims to do, and for that it gets full marks!

Black wrist Strap missing for controller, is adervtised with one and Wii resort game won't play but the Wii sport does which is on the same disc.

First let me inform that the console in this bundle is the normal Wii (retro-compatible with Game Cube) and not the new one (2011 Family edition).This bundle pack comes with the console (normal one) plus Wii motion plus controller with a nuchuck and a Wii wheel to attach to the controller and to be used with the Mario Kart Wii that came with the pack. All cables and required connectors are included (note that the video cable is a simple Av one).This pack does not offer the standard Wii resort games, so this is oriented to Mario kart fans (like me lol).Console came with the most recent firmware 3.4e (European)(October 2011).If you are like me and dont really care much for the motion controlled games but still want to play some of the tittles available on the Wii, this is the perfect Pack for you. Plus is a normal version and you can use old GameCube controllers (meaning that can buy very cheap ones on Ebay) and play Gamecube games, that you can buy very cheap now a days.Since i'm a GameCube owner and i have a 4 controllers plus a lot of games is nice to be able to use them on the Wii.Note of advice for HDTV owners: Buy a Component Cable to be able to use 480p image.

Everything works fine (accept for the strap, which fell off immediately). But the wheel is blue and clearly intended for a different game. It works fine, and is compatible with the game, but just isn’t as advertised.
