Jim Dunlop474P1.0 Stubby Jazz Player Pack (Pack of 6)

I am a JD Jazz III user, and these currently are my second most used plectrum. Though at 1mm thick they are the same thickness as the Eric Johnson plectrum, I find these much more manageable. They are small and l generally use these with just the tip protruding, and brush the string with the side of my thumb at the same time. It gives a different sound quality.

On my search for the greatest guitar pick these are absolutely top of the list. Incredible attack and release. Make fast playing easy and natural, and with a strong attack produce incredible tone, particularly with the thicker strings I own, of which they make light work. I've tried quite a few expensive specialist picks and these mass produced hard plastics just make everything pale in comparison... much better than anything in Dunlop's overrated jazz 3 range.... the 2mm are absolutely the best. the 1mm sound and feel too thin and the 3mm add nothing except unnecessary bulk between the finger and thumb and the thicker contour means they slide off the strings more, which diminishes the attack power of the 2mm. My only criticism is that I wish Dunlop would produce a slightly thinner 1.5 mm variant, because I just have a feeling that it'd be the perfect guitar pick for me.

The picks are fine but the cost of shipping was the same as the cost of the picks, making them very expensive. I'll need to be more careful about reading the small print before I order anything else.

I live these little things. Comfortable and glides over the strings. Proper fast picking available with these.
