Excellent Introdution for Beginners
The basics--and some of the more advanced elements of project planning, too--can be found in these pages. All the major acronyms are defined and explained. When you've finished the book, you'll know the benefits and problems associated wit the various planning methods. Some are more linear, others more agile, and so on. The author also explores the issues raised by having diverse stakeholders coming from different corporate environments and geographical areas, which will be helpful in today's global workplace.

If you're like me, you've got some exposure to PMI materials, Agile, Six Sigma and other frameworks for project management. This book takes some of the best concepts in project management and puts them into a single resource. It's a useful resource.
