Works to keep my Wyze camera charged

I have a whole bunch of wireless outdoor cameras that use rechargeable batteries in them. The annoying thing about that is that whenever you have to recharge the batteries you are stuck with a camera that isn't able to record anything because they obviously don't have any power. With one of these solar panels hooked up to the camera you no longer need to take out the battery to recharge it, the solar panel just automatically recharges them during the day. That is so much more convenient than taking out the batteries all the time. This solar panel comes with a 10 foot cable so it was super easy to find a good spot to place the solar panel while still being within range of the camera. Considering that these are cheaper than the wyze brand solar panels this solar panel is a very good deal.

My Wyze camera does not have micro usb so the panel does not work with my recently purchased camera. I'm sending it back.

I ordered this solar panel for another camera, a EUFY 2C pro because I could not find an exact fit. This solar panel was listed as being 6 watts and having a long cable with a USB Micro plug, which was one of the higher wattage panels listed with a connection that would fit. I had the EUFY camera mounted and in use for two days before hooking up the solar panel. The camera was down to about 92% charge. The camera is mounted on the north side of our house, which is about as bad as it gets for solar panels in the northern hemisphere. I hooked the panel up and aimed it to the south, but that was the best I could do. The panel is on the north side (behind a high roof peak) and does not have any direct sunlight, it really only has "daylight" to help charge the camera. I installed the panel after 1:00PM and when I checked around 3:00PM the camera already showed some charge had been added. I checked again around 5:00PM and it was charged to 100% and I was thrilled. I forgot to check first thing in the morning, but around 8:00AM the camera was at 99% (from battery usage over night) and by 10:00AM it was back to 100% charge. Not bad for mid-September and being on the north side of a building.

This solar panel is higher power that some others and since it's 5 watts, it may be able to power your camera continuously without using the built-in batteries. Or it may greatly extend the time before you have to recharge the camera's batteries. It should work with any camera that accepts a USB Type C input to power/charge the camera, not just the Wyze cameras.

Easy install once we found a sunny spot. Works well, I won’t need to charge my outdoor camera inside anymore. Definitely worth it!

Ordered this solar panel to power my WYZE outdoor camera that is being used inside the WYZE bird feeder.The bird feeder has an additional roof panel that fits on top of the hopper roof. This additional panel holds a 7 inch by 5 inches solar panel.According to the listing for this Sankaba solar panel it is made for the WYZE outdoor camera. The listing also states that this panel is 7 inches by 5 inches. Sadly this is FALSE information! The panel I received actually measures 6 3/4 inches by 7 1/2 inches. It is very frustrating because I am unable to use this in the bird feeder. The solar panel is very well made, it is heavy, the edges are clean and tightly seamed. For my application the power cord is way to long, I would have to wind it together and zip tie it.If this panel was the size it is advertised I am sure it would do a great job keeping the battery charged on my WYZE outdoor camera.Because it is a well made panel I am giving it three stars instead of two. .

Beware this is only works for camera that has built in battery such as Wyze outdoor cam.It has USB micro to plug to the camera and voila it starts charging once the panel facing to the sunlight.I also recommend to find the best angle facing the sunlight.In fact I always gain power vs the usage meaning my camera now is always 100% fully charge all the time.Well made. Just beware this produces 5W charging
