Best kids' microscope!
This microscope is amazing! It's very simple to use, but does not lack in quality of images. The removable portion makes for easy operation in the garden or to quickly pass between children. This works so good that my 68-year old brother-in-law wants to buy one for himself!

Truly incredible
I honestly wasn't expecting much from this. It's geared towards kids/teens, it's an Amazon 'microscope', so while it would be neat, it wouldn't be THAT impressive, right?I'm happy to be wrong. I'm attaching some images to show the quality of this item.________________________________This product has honestly been super cool. It's been fun to examine things like shorts or chairs, to see the individual fibers in each thread, woven together. I just recently realized that the mechanical zoom is even better than I initially knew. The images attached are from when I first received the product and was experimenting. The mechanical zoom can magnify at least twice what you see already here.If you have a child that's interested in science and can afford it, $70 is a great deal for this. It comes with an SD card to take photos directly through the device, which is how I can provide the images in my review here. Honestly super cool product.

Hard to Focus
The instructions are very not very thorough and difficult to follow for someone that never used a microscope. I felt like the microscope wasn’t focusing or magnifying properly as it should for the cost. I would say this isn’t a high quality scope.

BUY
For the price, this is a SHOCKING good digital microscope. We have a bunch of aquariums in the house, and these make it very easy to see any damage or surface illnesses in the fish or coral. And it actually zooms a pretty decent amount - I'm not sure if its a full 1000x, but it's more than enough for what I need it to do. I would absolutely buy this again or recommend to a friend

Good, almost great
This microscope set reminds me of the Intel Play QX3 Microscope. The Play series was discontinued in March 2002, but I still have one, seen in my picture here. The concept of the Play microscope was to make a scientific instrument which is easy enough for kids to use, but have enough performance to do some useful scientific tasks. So here, we have a new design with the same concept. This microscope Improves on the Intel Play design by integrating the optics, camera, and screen into one piece. And it also comes with a stand which allows more precise positioning of specimens and backlighting. The optics are simpler, with only one set of lenses. But I was pleasantly surprised that the focusable range is huge - it is clear from -0.5 inches to +24 inches ! Compare that to regular optical microscopes, which can only focus from about 0 to +0.25 inches. That huge range opens up many possibilities, such as observing fine details on an animal without taking it out of its cage.I also attached some pictures which show the strengths and weaknesses of this microscope. One picture is a blister caused by a flea bite on my ankle. You can see the microscope does a good job with capturing skin texture and fluid reflections. The other picture is the tip of a rollerball pen. That shows this microscope unfortunately has poor dynamic range. The lighting shows poor gradation between the dark and light areas. So even if I use the high resolution mode, this microscope still captures a poor picture of high-contrast scenes. The other disappointment is the backlight under the stage. One knob adjusts the color through the visible light spectrum, although it doesn’t want to do yellow. The other knob controls the luminous intensity. But the biggest weakness is that light can’t be aimed under the stage at an oblique angle. That is necessary to illuminate 3D features of many specimens. So without oblique lighting, it is difficult to see many parts, especially in biological samples.I especially like that this microscope can be connected to my Windows PC as an extra camera. Use the Windows Camera app to view live images. Overall, this is a very good microscope and it would be a great gift for kids or adults.

Multi functional microscope for kids and adults
The media could not be loaded. So, this digital microscope for kids is a really fun way to get them interested in science. This is super easy to use and let you plug it right into a tablet or computer to see the magnified images up close. The 2-in-1 sounds especially cool - you can take the screen part with you on the go, and it even has its own battery so you don't need to worry about finding a power outlet.I like that this microscope comes with some sample slides, even though it sounds like your kids won't be happy with them for too long. They'll probably want to start exploring their own stuff right away! With these microscopes, they can check out everything from bugs and plants to their own skin cells. And with the adjustable LED light and the additional orange backlight, they'll have no problem seeing even the smallest details. You can also capture all those amazing discoveries with the built-in camera and video. It saves everything straight to a Micro SD card that comes with the microscope, so you can share your child's awesome explorations with friends and family.Overall, this digital microscope seems like a great option if you're looking to get your kids excited about science and exploring the tiny details of the world around them.

Awesome
This microscope is pretty cool. I like that it has a digital screen because eyepieces are hard for kids. That is the best feature of this microscope! The other awesome feature is that it is detachable from the base for on the go use. It is lightweight and perfect for kids. My 4 yo enjoyed this microscope very much. I do too! Highly recommended for budding scientists.
