A huge disappointment
We should have known when we saw the small disclaimer on the box that read: "specifications colors and contents may vary from illustrations" That was an epic understatement, as there was no white clay included for the kids to make white bread slices, or the fried eggs as pictured. (Green eggs, anyone?) No light brown to create the french fries or noodles, as pictured on the package. Not all molds or tools were included, nor were there any directions for how to make the molds fit together (which they didn’t). How is it possible to make realistic ‘play’ bananas, pears, oranges, etc. if they are all flat on one side because the molds don’t fit together? And then there is the problem, after molding the flat fruit, of how to remove the product from the mold without ruining the shape. (Molds should have been made from flexible plastic or silicone, so the soft ‘fruit’ could have been removed with a gentle push from the back of the mold.) Alternately, if the clay was left in the molds until it was completely dry, those molds would not be available for filling and making more fruit until at least the next day, which would mean that the children could play with the clay for perhaps ten minutes each day for a couple of weeks to actually produce enough 'food' to use in play. Would you like to leave all the clay, molds, and tools on the table for a week or two until the project was finished? I wouldn't. Worse, while the advertising states that this clay will 'air dry,' it actually never dries completely. When set aside to 'finish' drying, one later finds that the clay has apparently absorbed moisture from the air and again softened almost to its original state. All three of the children playing with this set were elementary school age; all declared it a huge disappointment. While the Art Clay set is advertised for ‘3+’ I can’t imagine a child under the age of six being able to come up with anything, flat or otherwise, resembling play food with this set.

Casual fun
I'd like to address one thing first and foremost: this is modeling clay, not dough. It feels like clay, not like dough. If you're looking for clay to make some high-quality sculptures and want to show off higher-end artistic skills, this is of course not for you lol. But to entertain some kids or even adults on a casual afternoon, this is a neat little kit to play around with. The colors and tools I received didn't exactly match what's in the photos, so that's something to keep in mind. Even so, we were still able to make things with the molds and loved the tiny little fruits!

Fun for any age!
Although this clay kit is marketed towards kids, my 4 twenty-something older kids had a great time with it for a Friday evening family night! Nice to have the different tools and colors to work with. Recommend!

Sticky and Disappointing
We received this as a gift for the holiday and were very excited as the package looked promising. Unfortunately, the clay/playdough is SO STICKY it’s disappointing right out of the package. I had to work 1/4 cup of flour into just one container of the clay to slightly bring down the sticky-ness. The second time, I had to add flour again because it somehow got sticky again. As for the molds, there are some really cute fruit molds and the “pasta” maker is fun too. But these will be better used with homemade or actual Play-Doh since it sticks so bad.

Great
My kiddo loves this little clay set. The molds are nice quality not flimsy at all. The clay however was a little sticky at first staying on your hands but once worked around a bit it gets better. Awesome product other than that could always purchase some play dough so they could keep at it.

Poor quality
This play dough is horrible! Maybe I got a really bad batch, but it was so sticky, you couldn’t even play with it. This is unfortunate, because I was wanting the brightly colored play dough that was advertised. My son was really sad too, which kind of broke my heart. I can’t even tell you if the different plastic tools worked well because we had no play dough to use it with.

It's a Clay-doh party!
This is a super super fun little Clay/play set! It has so many different creative shapes and patterns you can use that are all brightly colorful and lots of fun! Also the many colors available of the clay is rather nice as well. All in a rather complete set, perfect for the included clay, or even your own playdoh you may have for the kids to play with!
