Stakmore Traditional Expanding Table Finish, Cherry

It's gorgeous and sits along the wall most of the time. In its smallest size, it can work as a small desk or large end table. It's a little bit too deep to work as a console table, but could be fine for that use if you have a large space. It's very easy to pull it out to the card table size that it could be done solo, however it takes two people to expand it to dining room table size, and especially to fit the leaves in, which were the most difficult part.This works excellently for small spaces where you would only want a dining room table when you have guests over for dinner or a second dining table for thanksgiving. It looks great and feels natural in every position. It feels very sturdy also and could possibly take a lot of abuse, though we haven't used it enough yet to really put it to the test. And since the construction is mostly solid wood (except the table top), it should be easy to repair if for some reason it break. Fairly solid construction imho.

This thing took FOREVER to ship. The first one was lost in shipping and the seller would not address the issue for over a week. When I finally received it though, it's nice. Arrived with a small crack on one of the leg supports, but it was easier to repair than to try to send back and exchange. Only the legs need to be attached, but this thing is heavy. It would have been much easier with two people. Recommend rubbing some candle wax or mineral oil on the slides between the joints to aid in opening and closing the table. I really don't get the people complaining about the difficulty though. It's tight, yeah, but it should be. I have no doubt that it will wear in over time.Very nice table that can be compacted against a wall or pulled out to seat 8 comfortably. Exactly what I needed for my smallish kitchen.

Quality furniture. All you need to do to is attach the legs ~ easy-peasy. Lovely wood with gentle grain. Well-sanded and evenly stained. Goes nearly effortlessly from console table to card table to kitchen table to dining table by adding/subtracting leaves and pulling/pushing to expand/contract wooden supports. Well worth every penny! Would buy again in a heartbeat. We've had this for about 4 months & use it daily. Right now we're in an apartment (in between selling our home & but lying a new one) so it's being used as a kitchen table, but it's so well-made & easy to change its size that I know it will be used for years wherever we are.We are so satisfied with this table that we're buying a heavy, custom-made felted top to protect it.

I bought this table to take the place of a dining table. It lives as a consol table by the front door most of the time. It is a beautiful table. The color is a natural cherry finish, not the gaudy red in the picture. It is very well made. I wanted to find a table close to my grandmothers table, and this is an excellent substitute (as my mom won't give up the original.) The finish is satin and the wood grain is attractive. I was pleasantly surprised by quality. The expanding mechanical is all wood and works well. An excellent value for the price.0

When I first got this thing out of its box it looked great! The color was perfect, the size was absolutely spot on for what I needed- and then I realized there was mild damage by one of the hinges on the face of the table. The hinges- or should I say that one specific hinge- had been installed so that the pieces of the table were too close together. This means that as the table expanded and contracted, the wood had no room and so unfolding the table meant the pieces pressed too tightly together. It's a shame too, if the damage had been to the underside of the table and not the face we would've kept it.

This is the second one I’ve bought. The first one I bought went as an unintentional gift. Beautifully made, easy to assemble. Quite sturdy

This table was so sticky to expand in order to put in the leaves that we resorted to a YouTube video on it (apparently, we're not alone). We've only gotten it to fully expand one time, in spite of needing it much more than that. The manufacturer suggested using candle wax to make it more smooth. We tried this. It did not work, after much frustration and energy expended several times.We're going to get rid of it. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TABLE!

The table arrived quickly, was easy to assemble, works great for just the two of us most of the time, but works even better when we have family here. Converts easily from four to 12 seats.. love it. Seems very well constructed and the center leg storage is a real plus.
