The Octonauts: Underwater Adventures Box Set

We love octonauts in our house, the books did not disappoint! I wish they had more to the series. My toddler loves reading these. They are colorful, engaging, and so much fun.

My kids are obsessed with these books, want to hear one or more of them every night! So colorful and creative. They like them as much or more as watching the show. I've got 2 1/2 year-old twins and a 6 year-old, and they all three gather around for these. The stories do run a bit longer than what I'd expect, but I think that's part of the appeal. These books definitely hold their interest in a way things of comparable length often have not. A lovely set. Most of the books we've bought or received that are connected to shows are by comparison so banal, stereotypical, and frankly lame, my eyes cross reciting them, and I wonder if I'm doing my kids any favors by reading that kind of junk to them. But these are totally different. Engaging, delightful, smart, excellent fun! I hesitated over the price tag, but am so glad I bought them. Highly recommend!!!!

Great illustration and adventure stories.

The Octonauts: Underwater Adventures Box Set is a treasure trove of aquatic excitement for young explorers! A must-buy for kids who love thrilling underwater escapades!

I had to read one of these books 4 times the day they arrived for my 2 year old. My son LOVES them. He is obsessed with Octonauts right now and I wanted to get the books to steer more time away from Netflix. These have done the trick. I agree with others that not all stories are like the show but my son doesn't care & he likes them all. He seems to like The Frown Fish and The Lonely Monster the best. The illustrations in these books are beautiful. One thing I like is that each Octonaut is doing something in the beginning of the book when the Octo-Alert sounds, which is awesome! My son is in speech therapy and he needs to practice using verbs so this gives us a great exercise while we are reading. I find that that these are easy books to incorporate questions and skill building rather than just reading if you feel so inclined. Of course, they are great to just read! My son says "Again!" often after we read these at bedtime and I have rarely heard him do so. I am planning to buy the other 2 books that Meomi makes.

Such gorgeous books. Quite different from the Netflix series - much more magical - but with the comforting, familiar characters your child knows and loves. This is an absolute must-have for your reading shelf!

Our son is obsessed with the Octonauts and while we don't mind letting him watch it in small doses, he would sit there all day watching them which obviously isn't good. We use these books as before bedtime reading which gets him excited about going to bed. Since there are four books it keeps my wife and I from getting burned out reading them (it also helps that they're written very similarly to the way the show is so they're pretty entertaining). The only thing i would caution is the pages are kind of large, so I would probably save these for when they're old enough to be careful turning pages or keep them up until you're ready to read to them.

My son loves Octonauts, requests these books specifically, and doesn't understand that the stories in them are not episodes of the show.
