UPDATE!: Could not get Ophelia GPS app to connect/control Pxel3 (Android 9)
The media could not be loaded. I'm updating this review from a 3 to a 5!First, Holy Stone customer service is unbelievable! After my first review, they reached out to me to ask if I was interested in trying the HS700D again, to see if the Pixel3 problem was the phone or Ophelia. 4 days later, a new HS700D arrived!!! No pressure, no requests for me to update my review, just super customer service.I have flown the new HS700D several times. The Ophelia GPS APP (v3.0) still doen't connect with the Pixel3 (the phone does). I did download Ophelia to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It works! I've been able to try most of the features with the APP.I'm going to continue to email customer support to try to resolve the Pixel3 problem. Also, it is a very hardy drone! Today I was again trying to explore features of the Ophelia APP with the Galaxy Tab. It does not have Cell capablity - and there is no wifi at the flight location. So at home, I started the APP, not connected to the drone. I zoomed/moved the map to display the location I was going to fly, and displayed map and satelite images. I was hoping they would be downloaded for later. It did. at the new location I started a 'Tapfly'. I was playing, not flying, the drone hit and hung up in a tree! It was still trying to fly. Thinking all was lost, I tried 'up/down/left/right', It was in the tree for over a minute, buzzing.. then it broke free and fell half way down, when it recovered - by itself! It then continued to the location I had downloaded with Tapfly. I took over and manually returned it, landed it, and had a beer. All 4 propeller guards are still in the tree - which is what saved the day. The HS100 uses screws to attach the guards; the HS700D guards pop on and pop off... first review follows...I spent over 2 weeks trying to get the phone app to work, lot of emailsbetween me and Holy Stone ..Very nice drone. I upgraded from a Holy Stone GPS FPV RC Drone HS100..The drone is smaller, better built and much simpler to assemble..The manual needs some work..The drone requires manual calibration every power up..The leds, which guide you during calibration, are very hard to seeduring the day with the drone on the ground..Flying with controller is easy..The drone is very fast and stable in 'windy' conditions..When in hover, it is very stable. Videos to are stored on sd card as mp4.For my application, over water, not getting Ophelia phone app was a no go.Returned to Amazon.

Very Good Droner For The Price! Lots Of Features!
I have several drones now and this is one of my favorites. It has level 5 wind resistance(23mph), so it's pretty stable and it has about 30 minutes of flight time. The distance is really good and it keeps the signal well. It includes all the cables you need, for charging and also for connecting you phone, either iphone or android. It has several quick shots including spiral, catapult, one key ascention, panarama, slow motion, time lapse and gesture cxontrol. It also has tap to fly, circle fly, gps follow me and even visual tracking. It will automatically return to home if it loses connection or the battery gets low.It has a 4K camera, so it takes really good pictures and videos.

Prelim review: great FAA cert req'd drone, QC3 chargers can get full charge in under 4 hours
[Edited 6Dec2019]We did give this drone a workout, but in the end elected to get a DJI Spark for educational use rather than promote the HS700D. The shock mounting on the camera is a poor substitute for a 3D gimbal. Though photos were fine and very few had motion artifacts, videos almost always had significant artifacts. Add to this the HS700D was not as stable operating outside as the DJI Spark and is too big for indoor use even in an auditorium or gym. The original review is below, but we dropped from 5 to 4 stars. This is a preliminary review, mainly because so many are complaining about the battery charging time. We found that using an OC3 USB charger, we could maintain 5W continuous to one battery in the charging adapter and the battery fully charged from 1 bar in just over 4 hours. Two batteries look like they would take almost 8 hours as the adapter did not pull more than 1.2A with 2 slightly discharged batteries in the charger. Many have complained about 7+ hour charging, but we found two things:1) many USB chargers rated at 2.1A were delivering way under 1A at around 5V to the charging adapter included with the HS700D.2) using a QC3 (USB 3.0 or USB 3.1) rated USB charger, we got starting charging current at 1.1+A, and continuous at about 1A for several hours, slowly rapidly at just about 20Wh delivered to the battery pack from 1 bar on the controllerWe measured this with an AVHzY USB charging meter. We are also working on discharge cycles of the battery pack to determine actual usable pack energy initially and over time. You can also use a DROK USB 2 multimeter to determine pack capacity. The whole charging process took just under 4 hours, but ONLY if we used a QC3 charger, which were either USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 chargers. Older USB 2 chargers did not provide enough initial or steady state charging current and took over 7 hours to complete the charging cycle. As for the HS700D drone, nice hefty and stable drone especially compared to other lighter GPS drones such as the HS120D. Setup takes longer than the HS120D, which we pull out of the Holy Stone backpack, put in the battery pack and micro SD card and away we go. This FAA registration required drone handles well and the included 2k camera is a big step up from all the 1080p drone cameras in smaller, unregistered drones. We will add more on the actual drone performance after having more time with the HS700D!

Great for Newbie drone user
Being that I am not too tech savvy, I thought I would be intimidated using a drone, but viewing a few videos, decided to give it a try. Also liked the price.I like the beginner mode for flying for the first time due to its limited range. Was very easy to operate, and instantly I was flying. So easy to Return home with a push of the button.Great pics and videos, ready to use it on my UTV adventures.

Great beginner drone
I have purchased a few drones recently, the 360E is by far the best one I own so far. Flying is stable even with a little wind , camera is great and everything is easy to control. Drone feel solid not flimsy like some. Stay away from the 700 serries, I did not have much luck with the 710 and hear other people have had problems with the other 700 series. I'm looking at getting the 600d or 900 in the future
