Modern and practical, keeps my fence lit all night long. I used two different models of solar lights to make this design.

Mounted in a location with southern exposure, these cheerful lights will run nearly all night long. The hemispherical lenses on the bottom of each light help to radiate its illumination across a larger surface than LEDs alone. The current Amazon listing price of $38 ($4.25 per light) represents a good value for this item.

After trying post-top solar lights a few years back, and being disappointed with how they performed, I had given up on lighting my fence itself; aside from the short lighting time, they cast light in all directions while they WERE on - including into the neighboring house's windows... Those same neighbors recently added some side-mounting lights themselves, and I realized that would be a solution to both of my problems!This 9 pack has more than enough for the panels I have to span the length of my fence at equal intervals, and the smaller footprint to panel size means they last much longer. Having three different temperatures on offer also means 3 times the options over my old lights of course, going from a low ambient warm lighting that doesn't provide much in the way of visibility (my favorite), to a harsher cold down light that you may use to walk a path. Switching between them is easy, and the choice of color doesn't seem to affect the lifespan at all, with all lasting at least 6 or 7 hours in the less shady areas that get full sun during the day.I'm familiar enough with solar decorations to charge a full day, so you want to install early on, or at least wait to turn them on until daylight so they can charge (as they won't charge while turned off). I don't know how they'll perform in the colder months with less daylight, but they seem waterproof enough to last at least a year or two, where my previous set didn't survive a single winter. Mounting options are great, though the aforementioned cold means I had to go with screws over the tape - not to mention my dog that likes to pounce on the fence chasing squirrels would likely shake them loose. For under $40, this 9 pack comes out to less than $5 per light, which is better than some local stores as well, so I'll recommend anyone looking for some ambient down lighting gives these a shot!

They need 6 hours of strong sun to provide 8 hours of overnight light. Being in the NorthEast, over the summer those worked great. I will update after seeing the performance of these in the winter where the sun isn't strong and sometimes there is only 6 hours of medium to weak sunlight in the winter.SIZE: The solar panel is 4.25" W x 1.75" H.LIGHT: Press the button between the two LEDs to choose which of the three light temperature (colors) you want. Pressing the button each time will cycle through three temperatures and OFF. Choose the color you like after you mount the unit.There are two bright LEDs that provide good illumination. Put it higher to cover wider area with dimmer light, or put it lower to the ground to get a brighter light in a narrower area.There are two holes on the back that will tighten over screws. Everything seems to be sealed well to prevent water from entering any area of the device. I'll update if any leaks develop.

These little unobtrusive lights are super easy to install on wooden fences to get some landscape lighting into areas where hardline power isn’t available. Not only do they help light up the yard but they add a sense of security as well. I like the ability to choose the color temperature and even have alternating colors to make things a bit more interesting. They last most of the night even with moderate sunlight exposure during the day. Recommended!

This 9 pack of solar fence lights are not all that bright, but that is typical with solar powered lights. I charged one light fully then placed it in a dark place to see how long it would last. I used the white light setting. I was amazed that it lasted over 20 hours. It was fairly dim then but was still shinning.When attached to a fence at a height of 6 feet, the beam of light extends out about 4 feet from the fence.You can use the included adhesive pads to mount them, but for outdoor use, I would recommend using the included screws to mount them for a longer lasting mounting. It comes with a template to help with the screw mounting.

These are some pretty nice color changing solar fence lights. I already had a similar set of white lights spaced out across my back yard fence. I added these between each of the existing lights to fill in the spaces and add some color. They look good and add color to what would otherwise just be a line of white lights. The default mode is to cycle through each of the 7 colors every few seconds. But I like that you can also select any of the 7 colors if you prefer a fixed color. You could potentially do this for a special occasion where you wanted a specific color scheme for the evening. The only thing these don't have is any control over the shade of white. It looks like the white is a 3K color. I mounted mine using the provided high strength double face adhesive, but there are mounting holes if you need to screw mount them instead. So far these are remaining lit through the night until the sun starts to come up the following day. The charge results could be a little different in the winter when the days are shorter though. Overall these are nice if you want to add some accent color washing against your house or fence.

Easy to put up, bright for solar and last all night
