Good Calibration Set
I bought these, like many others, to check the accuracy of my home scales. I checked them on our kitchen scale and if they were the exact weight as shown on them, then the scale said they were bang on. That's assuming that my kitchen scale is reading correctly. Either way they were close enough for me to use.I'm now using these weights to calibrate a 3D printed filament scale made from a 1kg beam load cell, an Arduino Nano board and an OLED display. Nice to get a good idea as to how much filament is remaining on the spool before committing to a print.Good value for the money.

Inaccurate no good for calibration.

Accurate To The Gram. Casting & Finish Isn't The Greatest. Good For Home Use.
Purchased the 8-piece 1,000 gram set on 03-26-2024 for $19.98.I purchased this set to check and calibrate, if necessary, the digital scales that I bought on Amazon. (The scales were accurate.)Of the eight weights, two are duplicates. There are two of the 20-gram weights and two of the 100-gram weights. I wish they were all different. There are other combinations to end up with 1,000 grams. The "mirror-polished surfaces" aren't exactly mirrorlike. Well, maybe they're referencing mirrors from the 15th or 16th century. The chrome plating leaves a lot to be desired, too. The three smallest weights almost look like they're not chromed. The casting of the weights isn't the greatest either. All weights, except the 500-gram, are rough and pitted at the base.Yeah, they're just cosmetic issues, but when one of the manufacturer's selling point is "mirror-polished surfaces," it's a problem of their making. So, to the gram level, these are accurate. But, at the micro level, there will be deviations because of the imperfect castings with pits and hollows. For scales that we use everyday at home, these fit the bill.It comes with a case with slots for each weight. It's made with decent plastic that's not brittle and easily cracked.

Works Well (But the Smell though....)
I used these weights to calibrate my kitchen scale and it worked as expected. The smell, fresh out of the packaging though... leaves much to be desired so I would advise taking all of the weights out and leaving them outside in the sun for a full day (along with propping open the case) to let the odor fully dissipate.
