How do you remove the device from this case?

Worst case ever for the reMarkable2. Be warned. Stay away! I have owned my reMarkable2 since its inception. I love it. I use it every day. I have kept it in pristine condition. This case ruined it. I liked the case at first but today I had to take my reMarkable2 out of the case. The effort ruined the looks of my tablet and came close to permanently damaging the tablet itself. It was easy enough to install my remarkable in the case but when I tried to remove it, I found it to be an almost impossible task. I say almost because I finally, with the help of various tools, was able to peel the case back enough to pop out the reMarkable2. Unfortunately, by necessity, it badly scratched my previously pristine tablet and bent it so much that I worried it was no longer usable. Amazon needs to drop this tablet case from their lineup. It works well IF you NEVER need to remove the remarkable from the case. This is my first negative review on Amazon. Minus 10 for this product.

How is the tablet attached to the case?

there is a plastic tray the Remarkable2 snaps in. there are slots for power button, charging access.

is it possible to open the case all the way and fold it behind the tablet?

Absolutely, I use mine folded behind all the time. I have had this cover for several months and love it. With iy folded behind you don't even notice it's on.
