Was pleasantly surprised to see the surface with just enough grains and roughness. It is awesome for both wet-in-wet as well as dry brush techniques. Also , the paper does not bulge and remains flat even with generous amount of water . Just one caution . The water gets absorbed but the paper is still workable and and in great shape . Just one caution . If you are trying to judge the wetness of paper by looking at shin , it may look dull but , it has good amount of water . For 25 % cotton , this is the best value for money . Would recommend as a middle ground between too expensive and too cheap water color paper .
