After years of buying cheap kitchen knives, I finally took the plunge and bought this. It feels great in the hand, not too heavy nor too light and cuts, as one would expect with no effort whatsoever.I am going to stock up on plasters though!

My son was delighted with his knife and the accompanying sharpner. Great quality product at a really good price.

This is my second of these small knives from Global. The previous knife snapped where the handle is welded into the blade. That happened due to being put in the dishwasher. The impurities and stress region between the handle and the blade got progressively weaker until snapped. Lesson is not to put this knife in the dishwasher, the upside is less need to sharpen the blade.

Global knives look lovely, feel great in your hand and are an investment in cooking :)I looked around for an alternative, but found it really had to be a global. This was the first knife, hopefully of a collection, so having the sharpener come with it, which was set up specifically for global knives, was a bonus.

Just buy one of these, a couple of Victorinox tomato knives and a Victorinox bread knife.Bin everything else and feel fulfilled :)
