Light, no holes yet, sealed easy, good tire
I live in FL and was on the fence as to what I should get because riding here is very weird. Both Sandy, roots, mud, and hard packed. So a lot of everything. So far I went from Kenda Honey Badger Sports with tubes. To these in a same size but tubeless. Wow what a difference. Handles better, brakes faster, and acceleration is better. I'm extremely surprised by how great these are. I've been beating on them for 2 months now on a hard tail with me at 225lbs. I hit drops and ok sized jumps and they take the abuse. Besides better pedals. These are the best mod I have done.

Upgrade the tires before you decide to not like a bike
Best upgrade I’ve done so far.Going from a 2.1” tire to these 2.4” tires was a major improvement to downhill stability, ability to pedal uphill in deep sand, and overall comfort.Getting the bead to completely seat was a little difficult at first, but a little bit of shock oil all the way around both sides made it super fast and even all the way around. These tires are a little sticky at first. My wheels are 19mm wide and I don’t have any issues with the tires so far. 2.4” is the max width I could go based on the chainstay width, and wheel width.

New tread for my Giant 2014 Trance 3

I used tv screen cleaner as a lubricant to seat.I am using tubes, didn't want to try tubeless on these rims. May have worked the way they seated. They look fantastic but no trail use yet. Will update after a few rides when trail dry.I replaced the Nobby Nics Performance because I bit it bad twice loosing grip.

Big improvement over the X-King
This is for the Cross King tire. I bought the 29x2.3 Cross King size, and unlike previous versions, this runs true to size. It was easy to mount with an air compressor and a tube. I chose to put a tube in it, hit it with the compressor and let it sit for a couple of hours. That forms the bead better, and allows you to dismount the tire, pull the tube out and set them up tubeless with no issues. I use the Bontrager blue sealant and it does well with no leakage through the sidewall. I think that’s the biggest change over the older X Kings. On the trail they are fast rollers with good grip in hard pack. Georgia trails have a high level of packed clay and gravel, and these tires do well. They don’t shed mud and wet clay very well, but then again very few cross country tires do that well. Durability wise, after 200 miles of sand and clay, they look new. This is my second set, and will continue to be my go to cross country race tire for my hard tail.

Excellent grip
I actually was going to buy the mountain kings, but for some reason those are way to expensive right now. I couldn't be happier with the cross kings, they have less rolling resistance than the mk, and almost equal grip!, and the difference is notable between pure grip and blackchilli compounds, there is more grip and less rolling resistance on the latter. (i had mk with pure grip)

Excellent tires that can tank!
These tires are a HUGE upgrade from the Maxxis Rekon's I had on my Rocky Mountain. Those tires were light, soft, and were very quick, but just weren't right for what I was trying to use my bike for. They struggled for traction on the loose, messy trails here whenever I pushed my bike and spun hopelessly if I dropped the hammer. These, on the other hand, are grip MACHINES. I've handled steep 17% grades covered in loose leaves, gravel, and mud, with little to no slipping. In fact, the only times I've managed to make these tires break loose is whenever I roll over a loose stick or slick rotten log, and I doubt even the most agressive of tires could adress that. They're also dang near indestructible, and you can feel it. These tires are pretty stiff and feel like the pressure is much higher inside than it actually is. They're also heavy beasts, but when you're out on the trails, you really don't feel it. They are slow and have one of the highest rolling resistances among MTB tires. But man, does that grip pay off.TL;DR - If you want a beastly, near-bulletproof set of tires for mud, extremely loose soil, loam, or loose over hard conditions, and don't mins giving up weight and rolling resisitance, buy these now.

2.6 Trail King bigger than some tires marked 2.8
I bought the trail King in 27.5x2.6 because it's my rear tire of choice. Compared to a 2.8 Rekon (closer to 2.63), it's wider, measuring 2.7" on a 41mm rim, which is too big.Do follow the recommendation of max rim width of 35mm, because my sidewalls are 1-2mm wider than the tread on each side. I've gotten a LOT of rock scuffs on the sidewalls, and most have done no damage. I did get one 1" cut on the sidewall and Stan's sealed it fine. I took it off a month ago, because I was losing air and wanted to rebuild my wheel. Turns out the sidewall cut was sealed fine and it was my tape job.I've been using trail kings as my rear tire of choice since 2012 and these 2012 provided me the traction in Rocky/loose and flotation over sand as I expected. For the sub-$60 price tag they're at currently, they're a great buy over the maxxis exo sidewall, whereas to get this level of protection in maxxis, You need the double downs.

Impossibly tight fit on older 26" rim
OK, I bought the 26" version of this tire for a quite old mountain bike. The rim is probably 20 years old but it is a standard Mavic. The tire was so tight I could almost not get it on. Was even a struggle using solid steel motorcycle tire levers. So basically if I get a flat on the trail I'm done. There would be no way to get this tire off for repair without carrying the giant steel motorcycle tire levers. I have changed a lot of mtb tires in my 30 plus years of riding, also road and off road mc tires, but I have never seen a bike tire so ridiculously tight. Are German rims smaller than American? Have mountain bike rims gotten smaller over the last decade? Mystifying.

Amazing up front. Watch out on rear.
Big volume tyre. Best grip (both centre & edge knobs) ever experienced in greasy / wet conditions including over roots. Massive confidence booster. Totally recommended up front. Likely too draggy out back but big volume outer diameter doesn't fit my frame anyway. Definitely something to watch out for with conti enduro tyres. Had same issue with 2.4 Kaiser & Trail King. Schwalbe magic mary / big betty & Michelin wild enduro 2.4s fit no problem.

Top MTB Tubeless Reifen
