Never would I have thought to marry Mickey Mouse and cookware together, but someone did and designed a range of pots and pans around the theme.I ordered the cast iron casserole with a lid. The casserole is deep sided and has cast handles. The lid has raised Mickey Mouse head and ears, diamonds and a rather fetching, machined, cast iron handle with a Mickey image painted on it.The casserole dish comes pre-seasoned, but with the first dish cooked (beef bourguignon) the floured beef did stick a lot despite using oil. After use, dish and lid need to be washed by hand. After using a non-abrasive sponge scourer, the base of the pan still looked marked. However, after a few more washes and seasoning in the oven, things looked better.It does appear that cast iron takes a bit of getting used to (and work) when it comes to cleaning and care, something that is not really required with stainless steel and aluminium.Regarding the size, the 24cm pan is a lovely size for two or three people. At 4.2 kg, the weight testifies as to the premium quality of the dish and lid, however this is heavy, even when empty. When full of food it really is heavy to lift, hold or transfer.I was also super cautious when washing up in my butler sink because I didn't want to drop the pan and crack the sink!

The pre seasoned cast iron ensures excellent heat distribution and retention making it perfect for slow cooked stews, roasts or one pot meals. Its shallow design is versatile enough for stovetop cooking or oven user and the black monochrome finish adds a touch of elegance to your cookware collection. The Disney detailing is subtle yet delightful appealing to fans without being over the top. While the pot is heavy as expected with cast iron the sturdy handles provide a secure grip. A great choice for those who value quality cookware with a bit of magic!

A versatile pan that I can use both on the stove and in the oven. It's a good capacity, the non stick coating seems to be lasting well and it cleans well (I just hot soapy water rather than the dishwasher as I find some detergents can affect the coating). The disney design is cute too so adds a bit of playfulness to your kitchen.Perfect for casseroles (amongst many other dishes) and it's reasonably priced given the weight and build quality. I'm pleased with it.

Probably the oddest branding tie in I've come across however it is really well done and you wouldn't know it was a Mickey Mouse frying pan at a passing glance. But look close and the little fella is all over them.As frying pans they are excellent, they have a decent weight and the handles are attached for a lifetime of use.They heat very quickly and the non stick coating is both thick and almost frictionless, hold the pan at a slight angle and your fried egg will fly straight out. Also makes cleaning them a cinch.Expensive maybe but definitely a case of getting what you pay for.

Super pots, about the right weight and with custom lid handles. The price is higher that others of the same quality due to the Disney licensing.
