Why Brass Cylinder?! Because Brass is good when it comes to bearings, Valves and whatever goes under high pressure. It is so durable under pressure. Also, Brass is stiffer than Aluminum. Metals such as brass are often chosen for bearings, bushings, and other sliding applications because of their resistance to galling. Maybe Aluminum is good to make Grinder but not for Tincture press. This Press is designed by Engineers to handle very high pressure and can press spice and shape it as a small round solid disc in size of 3/4". Dowels distribute even pressure. You must try it to see the difference. Manufactured by TitanOwl Team

You really don't need this model. Next
I bought this for pollen pressing. Worked good the first time. Then just went downhill from there. Gotta be cleaned between every use. Gets stuck. Threads get bound, then it is a real pain to take apart. The handle came off. It's pretty to look at. But not much value beyond that.

The first time I used it the T handle twisted ...
The first time I used it the T handle twisted OFF, while trying to open it,Apparently, it's just epoxied on, now my product is trapped in an impenetrable cylinder, as the bottom spacer is also frozen in place... Tried plyiers over a cloth, NO GO... ANY suggestions?

Works fine!
Had quite a bit of trouble getting this! Was a week late, came in a plain box (not labeled) with no instructions at all. A bit confused about that. BUT does work! Seems to be a very good quality. So far the product is a 4+, gave it a 3 based on the way it was shipped and no instructions/warranty/information sent with it. Kinda looks like it was opened and repackaged......

rough threads but the solid metal functions well after a few cycles
after screwing the parts together several times it works well, make sure to exercise threads and clean or there will me metal shavings other than it really works well, I wish they made one about 4 times as large for garlic where you want to do a bunch at 1 time but it is a keeper.

okay for super dry pollen, bad for moist pollen
Okay if your using a dry pollen, not great if your pollen has oils or moisture. This performed especially poor on anything that had recently been screened with dry ice... Or the stuff that was in the freezer. When pressing anything that had oils or moisture it would seep between the aluminum pucks and make a huge mess, I could literally continue pressing until the pucks met. There was significant waste, and I eventually just had to resort to making everything almost bone dry before pressing. I'm guessing I received a faulty model with out of spec pucks or an out of spec cylinder but it's not worth my time to even attempt to return. Threads and interior of the cylinder were covered in a thin layer of almost black oil and gunk, so be sure to clean this thing well before its initial use.

It'll do, but I don't suggest it.
There are better presses out there, to be sure. The pucks are uncoated aluminum, the metal is not brass but something lighter, and overall it's not exactly high quality -- but it's also quite cheap. The aluminum pucks are not precisely sized, by the way -- so be careful how you load this thing, or you're going to waste a lot of material as it slips down the edges on the inside.I would not suggest this to anyone, and I wouldn't myself buy it again.
