I purchased this cartridge a year ago, in preparation for my kitchen Moen single lever faucet going bad as it had before with the original factory cartridge. I am a single old person and I don't believe the kitchen faucet gets any type of extraordinary use. The first OEM lasted about four years and first it starts to get very difficult to operate both in temperature and on and off adjustments, and then miraculously it seems to work well for a short period of time and then the stiffness recurs, so while it was back in its normal condition I believe that I contacted Mullen and I think much sure that they sent me another cartridge or I hate bought one from them I don't remember, but after about four years I replaced it and the next one worked I guess for another four years and then started doing the same thing, I ha thought that I was prepared for this by having purchased this replacement cartridge which sat in my drawer for year, well today I replaced my newly become defective OEM cartridge with this piece of junk which from the get-go never worked, it leaked out of the spigot no matter what you did with it, it leaked through the valve stem flooding the countertop: let's just say that I could not believe that it did not work so I spent numerous hours trying to find out why reinstalling greasing doing all kinds of things cutting the housing and anything possible since I am a great mechanic and plumber well after about four hours of work I could never get it to do anything but leaked every which way so I went to the local hardware store purchased another cartridge for considerably more money not even a Moen put it in and it works fineso if anybody is thinking about wasting their time because these cartridges themselves are very simple to put down into the valve body the tricky part is getting to it, and getting it back in don't waste your money on this junk

After less than 2 months use, this part*leaks like a sieve,*requires excessive force to close,*performs way worse than the worn one it replaced.It's not enough (in this case) for a replacement part to be equivalent in form, fit and function. Faucet cartridges are subjected to both high and low temperature extremes. The coefficients of thermal expansion of the component parts must be matched, otherwise there is excessive friction and wear at high temp and leakage when it cools off again. The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) would make sure of this and would test their products for longevity because it is their core business. This clone part maker clearly did not take these measures.You're going to end up buying the genuine MOEN part in the end anyway -- save yourself some trouble and go buy it now, instead of this one.

Great Product. For an aftermarket replica. Was nicely engineered. Plastic design, easy to install, kind of a pain to adjust the knob to get it just right between hot & cold. Takes patience. DONT LOSE THE CLIPS, they'll dissapear in a flash.. Hands down worth the money, will order again if needed. 6 months strong steady ;) Completely satisfied, I even ordered the wrong one before being able to easily refund and buy the correct one. Easy folk to deal with, highly appreciated.

I needed to replace the cartridge in 2 showers. I had a professional do the installation. He was able to change both in 30 minutes time. Works great. I recommend this product as a Moen cartridge replacement for showers.

I purchased this cartridge to fix a slow drip from the faucet and the replacement stopped that leak. After a few weeks, water would periodically appear around the base of the handle. After several months the base of the handle (where this cartridge is housed) has a persistent leak. I've noticed that when using hot water the leak flow is so fast that a sponge can't even absorb it all without being wrung out first.Extremely disappointed and would caution anyone thinking of purchasing this to save a few bucks reconsider that thought. The leak could easily cause significant water damage costing hundreds or thousands of dollars. Steer clear!

Tough getting the old one out but was expected. No prob on install. Will see how it holds up. Good price with included clips which I don't think the OE mfg does.

I ordered two of these for my single handle Moen sinks. They are just what I needed at a reasonable price. The part fit perfectly. I would recommend this product. In fact, I will most likely purchase more of these since I have four bathrooms whose original parts will need to be replaced sooner or later.

Perfect fit, no leaks, works smoothly, might be better than original.
