I had an earlier version of this when I went to college - the new version has corrected the errors in the old version and added a LOT of photos and information. The original drawings are still used and they are phenomenal.

interesting history of building designs

A lovely book; full of architectural history. Supersedes my old one by far. As an architectural student I was recommended it fifty years ago and it's still worth every penny. It is a pity that it cannot be transposed into say 3 part volumes (due to it's bulk) or made available on Kindle.
