This inflatable basin is such a good item. My partner has had extensive surgery on his shoulder and can’t raise his arm to wash his hair. He hates having dirty hair, so this has been an absolute game changer. The two breaths to blow the thing up are absolute rubbish and it took a lot more than that, but once it was inflated, it retained most of the air, and it literally took two breaths a few days later to top it up.I used it in front of the bathroom sink, with my partner sat in a camping chair. All he had to do was lean back slightly into a position that he was comfortable in, which was the natural position to sit in the chair. I put a towel around his neck and fixed the inflatable basin over the towel. The neck straps are fiddly, and it was necessary to twist one, as the press studs have been fitted back to front, but once in place, even a single stud held in place well. It did a great job of funnelling the water straight into the sink, and there was no spillage on to the floor. The first time I used it, I didn’t tighten the neck band enough, so the towel around his neck did get damp. The second time was much better. It's amazing how much difference something such as clean hair can make to someone.Although this does feel a bit cheap, and it does have its flaws, such as the press studs, it’s still a great bit of kit, and I’m happy to recommend it.

My mum is now bed bound but needed her hair cut. This is perfect for providing a comfortable way of collecting hair and isn’t bulky in any way.Will also try for washing hair.Brilliant idea. It was also easy to blow up.

Really fast shipping, fantastic product works very well for washing hair. The only fault is the piece for "comfort" at back of neck this tears easily im on my 3rd one in 2 years

Unfortunately this product is not even worth one star. It was totally ineffective and I got totally soaked through towels to clothes underneath. It was a total waste of money and is a flimsy piece of inflatable plastic which does not warrant the price even if it worked! My Daughter purchased this when I was ill so she could wash my hair but wished she had not bothered. We would have done just as well just putting a towel around shoulders and holding my head as back as far as I could. I threw the useless item in the bin!

Lockdown with all the ramifications for cutting and dyeing hair at home led us to take a punt and invest in this.We tried to think of various ways to use it to create a backwash for getting hair dye out safely.Our mixer sink taps aren't an easy type to fit a showerhead style attachment to, so we settled on trying to use the actual showerhead (which mercifully isn't a fixed one), and a combo of a chair and this contraption to attempt a rudimentary version of a backwash.Oh dear.I admit we are not hairdressers but at the end we felt halfway between swimmers and contortionists. The item simply doesn't stay in place as soon as there's weight of water on it. Cue water everywhere, and (in our case) resultant hilarity.I do think it would work well over a sink, as you'd have that stability underneath it. But I'm a bit on the fence as to how well it would work for other scenarios eg bed bath or using a chair somehow.It's not entirely the fault of the product of course, since gravity plays its part. I just wish it had the ability to create a chair/backwash as it comes so close to being ideal for that... But just isn't.

The product is very versatile. I can use it to do in my client's hair in her own house or I can use it to wash the hair in the salon of a client who is a wheelchair user with reduced mobility. I highly recommend the product.

Poor design. It is impossible to use without water running down soaking the back of the person having their hair washed. Added to that it is almost impossible to fully inflate the device so that the part supporting the neck is not inflated.

I’m a freelance hairdresser and bought this backwash aid for people houses and my kitchen is an absolutely brilliant idea and works extremely well so surprised fantastic.

This actually works GREAT! Used it at the kitchen sink and it was easy and perfect!

I am so glad I found a product like this! I found it for only $29.95! Wow! This things actually works! When you're inflating it, the air escapes real easy after you blow thru the valve if you don't cover it up quickly! It takes a few tries to get it full of air, but no big deal. Once you get it inflated, you can easily fit it around your "client". Perfect for washing children's hair who hate getting it done in the tub. This is the perfect solution as they LOVE getting their hair washed this way! It is so comfortable too! I strongly advise getting a towel wrapped around their neck securely and then fit this thing around them to create a seal so water isn't leaking out! This product is genius!

Es muy útil; además como es hinchable es cómodo para la persona a la que le tienen que lavar la cabeza. Otra ventaja es que no ocupa espacio. Es fácil de hinchar; no se necesita ningún aparato; es cómo hinchar un globo o un flotador. Es un plástico resistente. Es recomendable poner una toalla debajo (principalmente a la altura de la nuca) por si cae algo de agua.
