TsunodaMEB-135, Photo Etched Parts Bender (Long-Flat Nose) 5.5-Inch

I’m a fan of Tsunoda pliers in general and the smaller ones are no exception. I use these for building 3d metal models and find they work way better than tweezers. They are long enough in most cases for right angle bends, they fit well in the hand and the finish on the pliers is well done compared to less expensive other brands

These pliers are quite nice and saved me quite a bit of money. I have used them for several madworks photo etch pieces that required bending and they worked beautifully. No marring of the metal and clean bends. However, I would prefer they were longer in the jaws it would be helpful for longer parts.

I have several Tsunoda pliers, and they are all high quality tools. No hesitation in recommending them.

Japanese made. Outstanding quality. Jaws close perfectly and flush. Jaw width is .035 at tips. Smaller than Tamiya's benders. Spring opening and comfortable grips. A must have for Photo etch bends. Great value also.

Excellent pliers, alignment is spot on, no sloppiness in the hinge. Just wish they'd stop using a coiled spring and use a bar spring instead.

Very good quality precision tool, highly recommend to any fellow model builders.

チェーンメイルを編むために購入しました。以前はラジオペンチを使っていたのですが、刃先の溝でパーツに傷がつく事、バネがないので開けるための持ち方をしなければいけなくて力を入れにくかったことから乗り換えました。もっと早く気づいて使っていればよかったです。軽く小ぶりで使いやすく、とても気に入って使っています。先細なので、台の上に置いたパーツをそのまま掴むこともできます。刃先の角度調整は0.5mm程度の厚みのものを挟んだ時に平行になるように調整されているようです。刃先を合わせた時奥までぴったり閉まる構造ではありません。

自分の主な用途は1/700の艦船模型のエッチングパーツになります。カタパルトなんかの長い部品の作成用に購入。他の方のレビューにもあるように根元まで完全には閉じません。が、挟み込む範囲が狭い物ならば影響はありません。他にはタミヤさんのミニベンダーとピンセットタイプしか所持していないので同じくらいのサイズの物と比較する事はできませんが、大きいサイズのパーツを処理する際はそれなりに注意と工夫が必要です。安いし慣れてしまえば使える範囲なので自分は満足してます。

タミヤ製のエッチングベンダーをずっと使ってきました。しかしどういうわけなのか、嚙み合わせが悪くなったり微妙な隙間ができるようになったり。当たりハズレがあるんでしょうか？使い方の問題？そんな折にこちらの商品を見つけて購入してみました。値段も安かったので相応の品物かな？と思いましたが、いい意味で期待を裏切っていただけました。力をあまり入れなくともしっかりとホールドしてくれるため、折り曲げる位置を決めたらやりやすい。見た目が完全にニッパーですが、これなら噛み合わせが悪くなる心配もなさそう？この細丸型ショート＋ロング平型＋タミヤのピンセットベンダーがあれば模型製作には問題なさそう。自分は1/700の艦船模型に使用してますが、今のところ非常に使いやすく感じています。
