While this is stated to be for kids I feel it’s also a decent box for anyone who wants a simple key style lock box. The lock isn’t robust to where I’d trust my MOST precious valuables however it is pretty sturdy and has some weight to it. I’d be ok using it for meds, paperwork or personal diaries/journals for some peace of mind. It’s NOT fire proof however so be aware of that.Any kid would enjoy having this though for keeping trinkets safe or as stated already, a journal or diary they want to keep especially safe from prying eyes. It isn’t large enough for a standard piece of typing paper however without folding it so for paperwork keep that in mind.I have a BB gun, co2 cartridges and bb’s that I’m keeping in this just to have it all in a safer place. Maybe overkill for that but I wanted to have a spot to keep it when I’m not out practicing with it. I wouldn’t say this is quite suitable for an actual firearm with kids in the house as I question the lock and hinges not being able to be worked around should a kid be real determined but for what I have in this I feel it’s fine. My kiddo is 13 and has much respect for guns, zero curiosity because I have always taught him all I can about them and we openly discuss them as to be very respected and how we must be ubber responsible when it comes to them. It is still a gun of sorts after all so I feel him seeing me keeping even it in a lock box shows him we should have a safer place even for it. Plus I like having the co2 in a safer place.This has a soft insert for the bottom which I like and two small keys so be sure to keep those in a safe spot. It could also be mounted on a wall with heavy enough anchors and screws if you wanted.I recommend.

My only complaint is the locking mechanism is very very cheap and has a lot of wiggle play. What do you really expect out of a $20 mini safe. Do not get this thinking that it is break proof because if somebody wants to get in it especially being a very cheap one they can easily get in with a flathead screwdriver so keep that in mind when ordering.

This lock box is exactly that. A lockbox. It’s small. It’s not fireproof, or waterproof. It’s definitely not where I would keep my valuables.But…It’s really a nice little box to hide away smaller items that you don’t want others to see, touch, or take. Meds, personal items, journals… it’s a nice size, because it can easily be hidden away from sight!I recommend it!

Lightweight “safe”—it’s basically a money box but in a different shape. I’m planning on using it for my notary supplies. Basic features all work, but don’t expect it to be able to prevent anyone who’s determined to either take it or break into it from doing what they want.

This is not a safe. this is a simple metal box with a very simple lock. There are many ways to bypass it, but it will protect things as needed, but it wouldn't be difficult to force open. However, it combats this by providing anchor points to secure the box in a wall or bookcase to where it would be difficult or at least practically impossible to remove. I think this is worth it for the money to provide a simple protection, but I wouldn't use it for anything really important or dangerous.

Looks exactly as pictured, simple to mount to a wall and start using, nice little safe storage. Wont stop someone determined from getting in if they really want, but useful to separate and store the things you want to keep private. Nice price, good build quality, useful product.
