Guards! Guards!

I'm having trouble showing that I got my book a while ago but I did (in great condition, thanks Rarewaves-Imports), the book itself is amazing. I love the visualization of the different characters, if you've read the book already it's a wonderful addition to your Discworld hoard. There's definitely some stylistic changes and things that don't quite have the same hit as Pratchett's voice, but I think on the whole the author/illustrator did a solid job and it's great to be able to see it graphically

Obviously with a text to comic adaptation there is going to be some details lost in translation. However, this book does a good job adapting one of my favorite Discworld Novels. I won't go in detail about the writing because it's Terry Pratchett and thus it is fantastic by definition. I will talk about the art. It's like the characters were transferred directly from Terry's mind to the page. It works so well. The important details are kept and the world of the Disc is represented well.

This is such a fun comic, I wish more of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series had been made into graphic novels.

I like the illustration for the most part. I will say a few of the gags are funnier in text than in here, but if you are more of a graphic novel person than a "just text" reader, and like discoworld, you will like this

A nice job of illustration here. One excellent swamp dragon. The artist has pretty much captured the right feel for the usual silly Pratchett story about bumbling incompetence, and sheer luck, and other such things. How do a bunch of completely useless cops stop a dragon, and an evil politician and a summoning cult? Luckily they do have some help.

My first Terry Pratchett novel at all. I feel amazing about the real life and comedy around medieval themes.

Really good graphic novel from the Discworld stable. Nice illustrations. A great book.

It's a nice way to introduce friends to Pratchett! No huge world building, no special knowledge of Ankh-Morpork required. Just the hilarity and wits of Pratchett in a quick to read comic book format!
