A solid expansion, but a tiny model.
I play a fair amount of Star Trek Attack Wing and I have purchases all the expansion ships currently available. For someone who plays the game, this expansion has a lot of excellent cards including many members of the original series crew: Cap. Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy, Sulu, Uhura, and Scott. As you would expect, Kirk and Spock have excellent abilities in particular. Spock's ability essentially gives the benefit of taking a Battlestations action, but with no action cost. Kirk allows you to have two hidden elite talents for a reduced price to spring on your opponent. It also comes with a couple of really good elite talents for Kirk to use: Cheat Death, which restores an otherwise destroyed ship to one hull point; and Corbomite Maneuver, which prevents all attacks against your ship for one round. The downside of this expansion is the almost laughably tiny model of the Enterprise. I've read that this was a response by Wizkids to criticism of the model in a different game being way over-sized to the scale of other ships. And indeed, it is relatively to scale with the much larger Galaxy class Enterprise-D that comes with the base game. However, none of the other ships in the line are similarly to scale. The U.S.S. Reliant, for example, also dwarfs the Constitution class Enterprise, despite the fact that it should be relatively similar in size. Personally, I've replaced the model with an old Micro Machines version I had on hand. It may not be correct in scale, but it looks a lot nicer on the table with the other ships. So, if what you want is a nice model of the original Enterprise, you can do better elsewhere. But if you play the game, the expansion is definitely worth picking up for the other components.

"The Tinyprise"
I've been a big fan of the Wars X Wing miniatures game, when I found out that they were putting a Star Trek themed variation into production from Wizkids I was a little aprehensive and excited at the same time. I waited several months before taking the plunge, but when I did I bought the base and every expansion I coukd get my hands on. The Enterprise was one of the expansions I purchased to boost my fleet. The build of the ship or actual quality is very misleading from the stock photo that Amazon has displayed. The ship is extremely small when compared to the other models from the game maybe an inch in length and very limited details with a extremely basic paint job. Disappointing when you consider this to be the most recognizable ship of the original series. The cards however, are where this piece truely shines. The crew provided really add to your Federation fleet options and I consistently use Kirk, Spock, and Sulu in casual games when fielding a Federation fleet. The ship however has yet to hit the table.I can say the crew and upgrades are a must especially for a Federation player, but the ship is unfortunatley not worth the plastic used. Coming off cheap and poorly constructed.

Such a Bad Model, but a Required Ship for the Game
For the life of me, I don't know why Wiz Kids decided to release such an out-of-scale model for the Star Trek Attack Wing game. But this really is a ship you need for the game. The upgrade cards that come with the game greatly increase the flexibility of the Federation faction, and allows you to bring Kirk, Spock and the gang into your battles. That alone is worth the cost of the expansion. But the model... woof. What a stinker! You'll just have to use your imagination a little and pretend not to notice how small it is compared to the other ships.Overall, glad I have this expansion, but I want to be as THRILLED to have the Enterprise on my tabletop as I am to have Kirk and Spock behind the wheel. Why should I have to compromise?

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! --- ***Not What I Expected to Get.******
I special ordered this edition or the Star Trek Attack Wing Federation U.S.S. Enterprise form the U.K biased on the picture that was posted on the description. The picture shows a highly detailed modified version of the basic upgrade kit from WizKids. I am very disappointed - when I received my package it was just the basic model and the model was broken, the saucer section was detached from the neck of the fuselage. That is false advertising and I should get my money back. I would not recommend anyone to buy anything from Hobby Game Center if this is how they choose to do business. I would also encourage Amazon.com to drop them as a customer.BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Extra Small Ship, Great Cards
The included cards are a great addition to the game! I consider this set a must-have. It's just unfortunate that the model is so poor. As many others have said, this model is TINY! Place it next to the Enterprise-D and it's downright laughable! Due to its small size, the model also feels like it'll break if you look at it the wrong way. Those nacelles feel like they're barely attached to anything.Once again, the cards are great. Get this for Kirk. Get this for Spock. Get it for all the cards with classic Star Trek references. Just don't expect a decent model.

Necessary for a Federation Fleet
While the lack of a rear firing arc is disappointing, the 180ยบ forward makes up for it. The set of Classic Trek characters are really the backbone of any successful Fed fleet.

ST:AW TOS Constitution class
Much complaining is made about the small size. For me that isn't an issue, but it came damaged. And the seller's response about it was "meh, go here and fill out a bunch of forms, send it back, and we'll send a replacement out at some point" made it not worth the effort. So I won't spend any more effort on the supplier at all.

Great cards, bad model.
The cards for this expansion are some of the best the Federation can get. The set is worth it for anyone who mains the Federation or who doesn't mind cross faction stuff. The model it self though is.. small, very small. Even for someone like me who views the Attack Wing ships as game pieces more than models I find it too small (I replaced mine with an old Micro Machines model, which is Ironic when you consider the name). The paint job is odd as well. The inner part of the struts that attach the nacelles to the secondary hull are painted blue despite never been shown to have that paint scheme. Another thing is that the model pictured on this page is not the same one you get. (I believe it's from another line Wizkids do). In general if the picture has a name and registry on it it's NOT the Attack Wing model. So again if your playing Federation as your main fleet for Attack Wing this is a must by for the cards alone. The only reason an Attack Wing player wouldn't want this set is if they have no interest in Federation ships and like to remain faction pure.If your just looking for a model to play with or put on the shelf then this ship is not for you.

Small does not describe this toy.
You need a magnifying glass to see this model. The dimensions stated are completely incorrect. Not sure what you would use this model for. Not worth buying.

Great game piece
To clear things up, this is not a toy or model, it is a GAME PIECE. The asthetics are completely irrelivant. The expansion holds some of the best cards of any federation piece I've come across so far. If you are a player I'd recommend this expansion.
