Great for easily moving a motorized TerraTrike in and out of a van
I had a nice unmotorized trike that I traded in on a TerraTrike with a Bosch electric motor. The motor and battery, though not very heavy, increased the weight of the new trike enough to make it somewhat difficult to lift in and out of our Toyota Sienna van. I found this aluminum Ruedamann ramp on Amazon, available in 4 lengths (37.8", 50", 59", and 74"). I decided to try the one that was approximately 4 feet long. It turned out to be perfect. It folds in half, secured with a heavy duty velcro strip, and comes with a handle that makes it easy to lift. The hinge in the middle is reinforced with a strong aluminum strut underneath the ramp. There are holes drilled in both corners of one end and I use them to stabilize the ramp to the van with braided cords, each tied to a carabiner that clips onto the trunk striker plate. When I roll the trike forward, as the front wheels roll onto the top of the ramp, they kick the ramp forward about an inch to become secure as the cords tighten on the carabiners. My TerraTrike has individual brakes on the front wheels, which can hold the trike on the ramp if you need to center the rear wheel on the ramp going down or back up. It's pretty easy to push the trike back up the ramp without the need to go to a longer ramp with an angle that's less steep. We don't remove the middle seats of the Sienna. The rear wheel of the trike fits between them. It you removed the middle seats, or used a pickup, you could probably use the five foot or even the six foot ramp. Obviously, you need to be careful when you're moving any wheeled device in and out of cars, vans, or trucks, but this Ruedamann ramp makes the job a lot easier.

It works!
It was very easy to set up, open up and put down. I used it with my walker and it was sturdy, although it squeeks a bit.

Strong and Sturdy
As promised this ramp is strong and sturdy. It is listed as supporting 800 lbs. And so far it has comfortably supported an electric wheelchair and it's occupant totaling a little over 700 lbs. The locking rings are also a very good feature

800 POUNDS - DOES IT REALLY SUPPORT THAT WEIGHT
Yes and no. No meaning the movement mentioned in the sales blurb about slight movement is very accurate. Yes - However, when driving a four wheel motorized wheelchair up the ramp....not much deflection. The weight is distributed between the four wheels and physics takes over...not much deflection. It meets my needs and is EXACTLY what I needed as far as an entry ramp is concerned.

Plenty of space from both sides
This ramp is the only one that I found in Amazon that allows enough space on both sides of wheelchair an is so easy to use an does not weight to much .I'm very happy with this ramp because my chair is a mold chair an most ramps run to small but this one is perfect. Thanks♡

Very sturdy
I'm impressed. I'm using it to make a ramp for my cargo trailer. I read that the height was between 10 and 18 inches and my trailer doesn't exceed that. I weigh 120 and am able to pull my generator down the ramp along with my weight and feel very secure. My hubby is 300 lbs and he walks up and down also with no trepidation.Does it flex, slightly but even the loading ramps for my razer flexed slightly, aluminum does that.If you follow the instruction you should be able to use it for heavier weights as stated

Sturdy but still needs support underneath
Six feet long makes the angle more comfortable, but it also flexes, bends and squeaks. You have to support it in the middle with a 4x4 piece of wood to stop the flexing.

Nice well made, heavy duty.
I haven’t used it yet. But I can’t wait to use it to go into my first house. This is going to be so handy to go over threshold and things like that when we start looking for a new home it’s so convenient of course, heavy ,but it folds up like a suitcase and you can carry it. Well worth what we paid for it.
