Does the job perfectly
Before receiving the item, I was a little sceptical that it would grip logs well enough. It does. The different length teeth accommodate logs / branches as slim as a couple of inches right up to maybe a foot in diameter and 10-12ft in length. It says on the box that it will handle 150kgs. I've not sawn anything that heavy yet but have no reason to doubt the claim. It's incredibly sturdy, well painted and folds flat of easy stowage. After reading unfavourable reviews of competitor products, I'm glad I went with Draper - a recognised and reputable brand.

Home logging
Great design which makes it easy to cut down logs unassisted. I have had to bend the teeth back to shape once. Maybe I'd been a bit over enthusiastic with the size of the log. However when used sensibly it a stable log holding solution with little or no movement when cutting with a chainsaw. I have filled our log store and still have all my limbs.

Need to be higher
I'm a tree surgeon, been doing logs for years. I hate cutting off the floor, and I'm not much for dragging a saw horse around jobs so something that folds flat is ideal. I've come across a few of these, and not interested in the price of the croc one so got this. It's pretty good tbh though a few issues which is why it's 4 stars. It's not high enough, ok Im tall but this is going to have to be cut up and legs welded on to be of any use. Even long logs 'can' drop, then you've pretty much cutting 6inch off the floor anyway at the end until you start working your way towards the clamp. It's not wide enough, which can make it unstable on uneven ground. A pain to use on anything but flat ground, I have to shove a few rings underneath to weigh it down. Once I have welded extra legs on, I'll make some screw in adjustable spiked legs for it.Again height issue, just 6inch higher and you'd get a wheel barrow underneath and cut straight into it. As is, you do 3 lengths and then youve got to clear the area as the logs will be rolling under your footing.But. It is handy all said and done. It holds well, after a touch up with the raker file, I've had 12ft 50kg logs in it, once set it holds remarkably well. And when you get used to it, I can do a tonne in no time. Almost factory line quick, I can keep the saw flat out and smash off 10 logs in no time, as you might only have to reposition once, untill the build up underneath makes you have to clear the area.I'd be more concerned about what saw to use, tho it holds very well, going at 3" logs with a 261 with no rakers is do-able if you know what your doing, but I'd advise a 211 or something smaller, then when on 5-7" beech (or ash or whatever for that matter) get the bigger saws.I'd recommend one, as long as your under 6' or your back will ache quick

Log cutting support
No assembly required. Very easy to use and to store. Dont overload the tines otherwise they will bend. Very happy with this product

Good study stand but please read the review
Excellent sturdy stand, easily handles logs up to 25cm. Beware though, when erected check the main vertical is the correct way around. Maybe a one off but mine wasn't - it needs to look like the photo on the box, ie Draper facing the short end of the base and the teeth opening that way. Easy to rotate with a socket & allen key but to use it like that would be unstable and dangerous. Don't let that put you off though, very happy.

Saw Horse
Product is very sturdy and works well for individual logs. I bought this as I thought the chain would be good for multiple smaller logs. This doesn't work so well as they are too loose to chain saw through. The bench would preferably be taller for me although I see I am not the only one who has mentioned this and the front legs could do with being further away from the jaws, althoughbthat may just be me worrying too much.Overall though glad I bought it and have used it over the last two weekends quite happily..

Makes chainsaw life less dangerous
Brilliant piece of kit. Saved so much time and effort shoving branches into the grip and cutting up,then another, then another. Well chuffed.

Logs now in smaller pieces.
Easy and quick to put together, nice colour - can find it without my glasses. Holds big logs well which has allowed me to cut them into smaller logs with a chainsaw (which is also orange).
