Marvellous things!
These are great and I use them for everything on plasterboard. Radiator brackets - use these. TV mount, use these. They go in easily and are almost impossible to pull out once screwed home. I always like to dab a little glue onto them when screwing, just for extra security. Not certain it makes lots of difference, but I've never had one come out!Forget about the plastic alternatives, I've stripped the tops off these before, and then you're stuck with them inside the plasterboard forever!

Great 'no drill' plasterboard fixings
Another fantastic Corefix product, these are great no drill plasterboard fixings.Simply mark where you want the centre of the hole on the plasterboard, screw the fixing in (I used a hand screwdriver to make sure I didn't overdo it with an electric), then uses the supplied screw to fix whatever you are fitting.Simple, quick & easy. Great.

They just leave big holes to fill 🪛
The walls in my house are all plasterboard so I get put off doing any DIY jobs that involve putting something up. When I do manage to put something up, be it a coat rack or shelf, there's a 50-50 chance as to whether plasterboard fixings will work.I ordered these Corefix Twist Metal Plasterboard Fixing Pack of 8 Self-Drill Fixings with Screws hoping for the best - I was wrong. They've damaged the walls and left me with big holes to fill.Once the screws go in they get so tight that the fixing just breaks the plasterboard apart before the screw is even halfway in.Not recommended.

Good quality plasterboard fittings.
The Corefix Self Drill Plasterboard Fixings arrived neatly packed in a printed windowed cardboard box bearing the Corefix branding. In the box you get a set of 8 heavy duty screw type plasterboard fittings with 4.5mm x 30mm screws. In use the fittings perform well and can be installed by simply screwing the fitting into the plasterboard in the desired location and then tightening the 4.5mm screw into the fitting.Good value for a set of 8.

Good quality, but expensive, fixings
The Corefix Twist Metal Plasterboard Fixings arrived in a retail box inside the outer carton. I have used a very similar type of fixing from a different brand many times in the past, and these fixing performed in exactly the same way and were great for hanging hanging larger pictures after I redecorated. The only comment I would make is that I have never found the no drill feature of this type of fixing works particularly well, and I therefore always drill a 6mm hole as I find it enables more accurate placement. In terms of value for money these are not cheap fixings and other brands probably off better value for money unless you only need a small number of fixings.

Pricey but functionally sound fixings
For the price you can get way more than is provided here. I know generally 'the more you buy the cheaper it gets' is a thing, but the small box of 8 seems wildly overpriced when compared to their box of 24.As for the item itself, the packaging looks very professional, and includes a window showing off the contents, however the box seems way oversized for the contents (8 in this case). My guess is they pack all quantities into 1 box. Not only does this create excess waste, cost more to produce and takes up space unnecessarily, but it can add to postage costs too. With all that said and done, they do work well and finish off nicely when used, so the product itself is what shines here, im just not sure about the price or packaging process.3/5

High quality and sturdy
These fixings are incredibly sturdy, providing a secure hold for even the heaviest items. I’ve used them to mount shelves and picture frames, and they’ve performed flawlessly every time. The materials used are top-notch, giving me confidence that whatever I hang will stay securely in place. What I particularly appreciate is the versatility—these fixings work well with various wall types, including plaster, brick, and drywall. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow, making the installation process straightforward, even for someone who isn’t particularly handy. The fixings also come with all the necessary screws and anchors, so there’s no need for additional trips to the hardware store.Overall, if you’re looking for reliable and high-quality wall fixings, I highly recommend these. They’re durable, easy to use, and offer excellent value for money.
