Keeper!
My Dal went blind over 2 years ago. We attach a small bell to the end by the toy and she can still play with us and interact. LOVE THIS. Definitely helps her continue to enjoy life and enrich her experience with the world and bond with us through play. Watching her joy and happiness being able to "hunt" and play with us after she lost her sight is priceless.Love it so much I just bought another one for my new puppy Granddogger! She loves it too. There are those reviewers who have complained that it is easily broken. I think that may be because they are using it incorrectly. This is NOT meant to pull or allow you to tug back with your dog. Think of it as a lazer light that you move around and keep the dog moving fast while chasing it -- without wearing yourself out trying to move faster than the dog. When my dog finally gets a good bite on the toy which usually happens when she is jumping int the air after it- I let her chomp hard on the squeaker for 30 seconds or so and enjoy her kill without pulling on it. Then I tell her to drop it and we start again. I was introduced to this tool in one of my obedience/training classes to break up the training and reward the dog. I've had mine and used it vigorously for YEARS both while competitively training my dog and since she lost her sight with no problems - but I never pull with it and I've taught my kids the same technique. Mine is still like new.

My dog absolutely loves this.
I bought this on a whim and wasn't sure what to expect. I was not planning on using it for any specific training or anything. I was very pleased to discover that my dog loves this as a toy and it's so much fun for both of us to play with. It's held up surprisingly well to some hard abuse. The only weakness seems to be the telescoping lock mechanism coming loose. I am not sure how to improve that but I twist it as tight as I can but after some hard play I always have to tighten it again. This is not enough of a problem that I won't fully recommend this product. However I do think it could be improved in future versions. Overall I can highly recommend this for anyone who thinks their dog behaves like mine.

It lets you dance with your dog
Our dog loves the rope tug game, but it's hard to hold a short rope, while your pup has it in the jaws of death. This $18.00 toy solved our problems and opened up a wonderful new way to play. Now I can easily manipulate the tug rope as I play with our pup. I can hold it above, twirl it over my head, let it drag on the ground or slowly lead it, as he then leaps into the air to catch it. He can't get enough of it. I have to hold it over my head to get outside, as he is already jumping in the air to try to catch it. Once you get going, it's almost a dance with your dog, as you twirl and manipulate the tug rope around our dog. I do recommend, that when he gets the tug rope in a death grip - use your free hand to grab the leading line to make sure the wand handle doesn't bend. Best $18.00 spent.

I RECOMMEND THIS FOR EVERY DOG OWNER!
The media could not be loaded. My dog LOVES this thing! We're on our second one in 2 years. My trainer offered me my first one by high recommendation. He's a tough puppy and plays hard. The stick, even with the locking device is still not all that strong (if you have a strong dog) so be mindful of pulling... (Keep in mind it's got be light enough to play; so just be mindful). This gives him great exercise and wears him out without doing the same for his owner. We both enjoy our time outside, but he definitely gets most of the benefit. It's a fun way for both of us to stay happy and healthy. Check out the video of him directly after play. 🐕

It WILL break
I have ordered more than I can count of this product and very similar ones. All are cheap "things" from China. My 30lb corgi loves to play and chase this toy, so I am forced to keep buying them. This one is good because it has the bungi cord line, and not a string. This is way better for the dog, and it will not snap their neck when the line is tight, or rip it out of your hand. The lure part will fall apart in about a month, and the slick part will break upon the 2nd or 3rd time playing with it. The extendable part will get pulled out, and most likely hit the dog in the face. Again, my dog is only a small corgi, so unless you are playing with a Teacup Poodle, be CAREFUL. It WILL break. But as I said, my dog loves this type of toy, but they are all cheap. This one just happens to have the bungie cord, which is why I am forced to keep buying it.

Worth it :)
I have a German shepherd and Australian cattle dogs so two pretty driven and strong dogs lol I’ve had this flirt pole for about 5 months now and it’s still in perfect condition! I got another brand on here and my German shepherd broke it along with 2 others I’ve tried 🤣 well it’s to be expected I’d hope they would’ve lasted a little longer. I decided to try this brand since it’s good price and it has yet to disappoint! Staying strong for 5 months with two crazy dogs who loves it is a win in my book and if it ever does break I’ll definitely buy again :)

Nearly blinded my dog
My oldest daughter was playing with our heeler with the toy. The dog caught it in the air and with her momentum pulled the sections apart and got snapped in the face with the metal sections that broke free. Luckily she recovered and is fine now, but she couldn't open her eye for a bit and could have easily been blinded. My dog is small for her breed and only 24lbs. This is NOT a safe toy.

Great toy for hours of fun
My dog loves this toy. She will chase, jump and pounce until breathless. She even pulls it to me in the house wanting to play. It’s an great outside toy for tiring out your pup in a time crunch

flirt pole
great for training but pole sections continually loosen and sometimes are difficult to tighten which is annoying when you are trying to keep the pole extended and tight.
