I just used this cooler on a 4 night camping trip. Worked great! Kept cool on the 3 hour drive and kept cool with electric plug at campground.

Keeps frozen items frozen!

My hubby wanted this to use in his car as he had an hour-long drive to work. But for some reason it didn't work when we plugged it in with the cigarette-lighter plug. It worked fine when plugged into the wall outlet in the house. So now I use it in my bedroom for keeping drinks chilled. (His job situation changed and he works remotely now). So I don't know if there's an issue with the cord with the lighter plug or maybe something work with the lighter port in his car, I haven't tried it in my car. I set the temp at 42°F (5°C) and it seems to keep between 39 to 44 but my drinks are nice and chilly so I'm happy with it. It runs very quietly and doesn't run constantly, just as needed to maintain the temperature. I have the 17 qt size so it doesn't hold a lot, but about 8-12 plastic bottles of my variously-sized drinks. I like it. Recommended. I gave 4 stars stars since it didn't work in the car, although I don't know why that is yet.

I bought this for my motorhome because I don't need a full size unit. I waited for a little bit to post a review. So far it's awesome. I vacated for the most recent hurricane and it worked flawlessly. I took frozen meat with me and drinks. Everything works exactly as it was supposed to. I've had it on for over a week and it seems to be working as it should so far. If anything happens I will update my review.

This is a great product I didn’t know I needed. We used it for camping and now it stays in our car.Helps when I go to the grocery store and also helps with the baby when traveling to keep his milk cold.Very happy about this purchase

On those long road trips, it would be nice to keep drinks and food cold and safe. Even just on a hot day. I have coolers that are insulated boxes or bags which stay cool with ice packs. That only works for so long. I had been thinking of a car refrigerator like this one for some time. The 16 quart capacity turns out to be quite useful. It is wider than plain 16 quart coolers due to the compressor at the side. That makes the weight a little lopsided when empty. However, the weight while empty is surprisingly light.I first tried plugging into the 120v wall socket with the supplied power adapter. The temperature went from 64 degrees to 37 within 30 minutes with the standard fast cooling. There is very little noise from the compressor. I did notice that the temperature would fluctuate between 37 and 44. It seems that it does not stay at a set temperature but within a range. Therefore, when using this, it is probably best to set the temperature to at least the lowest that is preferred for the food inside. Even after it is off, the compartment stays cool for some time.I also plugged it into the 12v cigarette lighter socket in the car. The cord is very long so it is possible to put the refrigerator in the trunk while using the socket inside. That is if the car does not have a socket in the trunk. One potential issue is that the 12v socket needs to be powered continuously if you want the food cooled constantly. Most 12v sockets will shut off when the car is shut off. It is also compatible with DC 24v and AC 240v.Of course, there's an app for it! I haven't tried it yet. It would seem to be most useful if you need to change the settings frequently. With only a few buttons, changing settings can be irritating. For the most part, i will just keep the temperature set for fresh food and drinks. Maybe i should take up fishing.
