Perfect for some basic troubleshooting.
Whilst this isn't going to replace a trip to the garage, it will definitely help with some basic troubleshooting. Even for those that are not technically minded in any sense. The device is simple to use and really is as easy as plugging it into your car, selecting the most appropriate option (if you're not sure, read codes is probably the best place to start) and see what pops up. I've used it a few times to clear a few old error codes on my Clio with no issues and even found a few new ones that highlighted some minor errors that I was already aware of so seems to do the job it's supposed to. There are some more basic functions that are useful such as VIN info and battery test that will again help with that basic troubleshooting. It does also come with more advanced functionality that I didn't feel too confident about using. The device itself feels study, has a long enough cable to be able to comfortably plug in the device and read from it.Overall a solid, if basic, OBD scanner.

Simple Diagnostics
I am not particularly mechanically minded (though used to be a little more so many years ago) and the more cars became computerised the less interest I had in anything but driving them. While I hope never to need this OBD II scanner from Neotech it's definitely a nice to have if any errors do start manifesting on my car.The scanner itself is very simple to use. Plug it in to the OBD II port on the car and turn the ignition switch to on. Pressing the OK button should get you a bunch of information on your vehicle. While a lot of the information is available without the engine running you will need to run the car for a few of the menus.I am sure there are probably much more detailed scanners on the market (at a much higher price) but at £21.99 this unit does provide plenty of information to help point you in the right direction if you are having issues with your car.

Very basic - NOT FOR DIESEL
Well - I got it, plugged in and was surprised to not read some codes. In the manual it says not for diesel but the title of the product doesn't..It does still read some basic codes but no more than that. Some diesel specifics it doesn't like DPF etc. It's plug and play, works out of the box and it looks sturdy. It does clear all the codes even on diesel car.

simple to use, sturdy and durable design
I really like how easy this is to connect and operateOnce you have plugged the device into the ODB port, you then get access to the menu items and allows you to run through the various optionsIn particular, it's useful for checking any errors you may have allowing you to clear them incase they are old errors and then rescanThe screen is clear to read and the buttons are sturdy enough so if you've got gloves on, then you can still operate itA cracking device and so glad as to how easy you can find your way around without the need of spending ages reading a manual. I like it

Just great for the price.
Dead easy to use. Just find your obd2 port (usually under the steering wheel area) and plug in.Its powered by the port, so will turn on when you plug it in and start your car.The display is small, but clear and easy to read.Worked well my car and easy to scan for any faults. The DTC code lookup is very useful.A scanner like this would have been really expensive a few years ago.But now you can diagnose your car yourself, for beer money. Can't fault.

No batteries required
This is powered directly from the odb port which is great. I have been able to use this to read and clear a egr error code on our corsa after we changed the egr for a new one. Checked codes again a few days later with this tool and no more errors. Saved loads compared with having a garage do this. Will fit other cars as well
